  • Hi, friends!! I hope you like this sparkly galaxy cake!!
    Here's the materials I used:
    -turntable
    -large offset spatula
    -bench scraper
    -american buttercream
    -blue, black, and purple food dye
    -edible glitter
    -White edible food paint
    -white fondant
    -white star cutters (multiple sizes)
    -star piping tip (Wilton 1M)
    -piping bag

    Your cake is really amazing. Mine was an absolute disaster. I used Swiss Meringue. I left the dark blue base coloured in the fridge overnight. then I mixed my colours but when I applied them to the cake the base layer was coming off and all the colours just mixed together to make a huge mess. To save the cake I basically scrapped the added colours off so only left a thin layer. I noticed you used American buttercream. Was Swiss meringue the wrong choice as it was very creamy.
