You place the red boot inside the chrome clamping housing. Tighten the housing to the throttle body and the shiny metal. You should place a catch can between the pvc and intake.
I think you did a great job on installing it and it does look good. There are a few potential issues I would be worried about if I installed this on my vehicle. The first issue would be your sucking in extremely hot air now since the new intake sits directly above the engine. The factory air box already had a well-thought-out location that took cooler air from outside the engine bay. The second issue I see is now you are increasing the volume of air into the vehicle. Yes, that is the point of the new intake system but too much air and your stock fuel injectors can not keep up with the fuel to air ratio. Now you may have installed new injectors and had your computer tuned for the new parts and in that case, you probably gained a small portion of power. However, if you just bolted that on and called it a day I can guarantee you that your vehicle runs much worse than it did prior, and over time you will cause major problems.
Yes your absolutely right I allready adress that on a couple of comments . 😁 I went back to stock allready , I lost 3 mpg . Truck sounded super badass while I ran this but it had to go. I will be replacing it with a better cold air intake with a heat shield , video coming soon!

K&N sells a version like this. At first you think the 2 filters is extra performance, but think about the fact that both filters are right above the exhaust manifolds (headers) and as such they are sucking in nothing but heat. Go with a single intake k&n.
Yeah this intake set up was crap . I got a new one I'll film a video on soon . It's a better intake with a bigger filter . Works way better and sounds badass
Completely honest it’s not that good . It sounds awesome and makes the exhaust sounds really good specially if it’s an aftermarket exhaust , but as far as performance it’s not good because it sits right on top of the motor so it gets nothing but hot air! I’m about to remove it and go back to stock because I daily drive my truck and fuel economy is terrible lol
I’m sure the other intakes that they make for the 4.7 that have the filter sit to the left side of the motor where the original air box would be would work great but this one sucks up a lot of hot air ..
Hmm unless your taking it to get tuned properly naa it doesn't matter , but everyone is entitled their own opinion . But from my experiences as of now ( going on 8 different intakes different vehicles of course ) it really don't matter cheap works and sounds just as good as expensive brand

Hot air intake, A double Hot air intake.
Super duper hot hot 🥵 intake !!!

Catch can video coming soon going with a. Super cheap Amazon one just the see if it's worth the money
Nice video . first one ive seen of this intake . looks awesome
Absolutly not cold air. Those breath hot engine air. For it to be cold air, the air is ducted from outside.

Thank you for making this video and the advice. Do you feel any difference in acceleration?
looks good i wonder how well it will preform
Make really cool induction noises but it's really just sucking in the hot air from the engine bay so I went with a different intake with a heat shield
Ever think of extending the tubes to the wheel well?
I allready switch to a different intake this one was terrible. Don’t buy it unless you want to lose mpgs
It would probably work better if you had a Ram air hood

Nice ima get me one asap.
My sensor is on the whole other side how do i put it in if its in the whole other side ?

Shut yo ass up

No
I know it's been 7 months since she posted this video how are you liking this intake? I'm considering buying one for my 4.7

I’m thinking of buying a cold air intake kit like this then finding a K&N or name brand filter. Do you think that’ll workout?
