    Great review, love the looks but I think Cupra waited too long to make it. Can see them updating battery and infotainment very quickly. Plus can't help wanting to call it the Gaviscon 😄. If your money Knobby this or Born VZ?

    Thank you, sir. Will be very interested in seeing where the price is at once it lands on our shores. It’s going to be this or the face lift Formentor for 2025 (note, my 2022 Formentor hasn’t the name on the back either 😂) … as always, thank you 🙌

    It’s a good looking machine no doubt about it, and seemed fairly quiet in the video. It might be more of a cruiser than a performance car however the looks say fast and sporty.

    Cool looking car. Did you say 90k for Ateca 300hp video coming soon. That's Golf R territory and that's over priced too. What's causing these surge in prices... would love to see you and Bob break down the last 10yrs and car prices.

    Gorgeous looking car.
    I’ve a Formentor 3 years now. It’s on 19s and it’s the only car I’ve never kerbed a wheel! Does the Tavascan have the name in the rear lights?
    I’m not sure about the spine interior. It looks odd with just the hazard light button. It might look better with additional buttons, or none at all. Perhaps it needs to be seen in real life.
    I’m picking up a new Formentor in July. Going from PHEV back to ICE (been let down a couple of times this year with the public charging infrastructure). hopefully there’ll be a Tavascan to look at when I’m collecting the new car.

      It’s hard to look past it especially at the price. I’m looking at alternatives and there’s isn’t any at that price, seal has too small a boot space, looking at the new 508 sw gt which is hybrid and costs about 30k more as well.

      Model Y is so ugly tho lol. This looks about 4x better than the model Y (yes, I have calculated that, 4.3x to be more exact).
      But if you just want to get from point A to B and don't care about looks, yes, then maybe the Model Y is the one for you. But I personally can't drive a car that I don't like the looks of.
      However, the Model Y is significantly cheaper tho, I'll give it that.

      My car came with haptic's, I moaned about them for weeks. But now, having used them for over 6 months and recently on a 6 hour cross-country drive, I have to say I wouldn't go back to physical buttons. They won't be for everyone (my wife isn't a fan) but it's one of those things as Nobby said - you either hate them or love them!

      What is dropping? EV sales in 2024 are projected to increase 12% vs 2023 that was a record year.

    • @pandabat2000
      @pandabat2000 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@christianolsen9781 Figures for YTD in Ireland show a 19.1% decrease on 2023 for registration of electric vehicles. Many still on the fence/nervous regarding them (especially with recent price volatility and some iffy media pieces) although, all things being equal, I'd likely see my next car as an EV when I do eventually change (though I suspect that my 2017 petrol Mazda has many more years yet to give me beforehand). Most who really want one now have one and new car sales as a whole are falling compared to last year, most likely in light of new car pricing in Ireland. Car prices here (and probably broadly in EU) went up on average 25% between 2018 and 2022/3 - given Ireland's high baseline before those increases due to VRT etc., those price increases have put new car prices into the stratosphere for many. It's worth noting that imports from the UK are seeing large growth rates again as dealers/buyers seek better value in the second-hand market.

    • @pandabat2000
      @pandabat2000 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't know what happened my previous comment from a few hours ago - nothing controversial in it but seems to have disappeared. Anyway, the EV registrations in Ireland for the year to date are 19.1% down on 2023 figures so any projected increase is not coming to pass here in 2024.
