That's the key to beating the others high elevation training that's why khabib and them guys seem to be stronger than others. It's not that they are stronger they have more endurance
It's not necessarily the lungs. The Air at higher altitude has less oxygen. Your body then responds by producing more platelets. So when you come down to Sea level you're at an advantage. Some guys train in hyperbaric Chambers or take EPO (Doping).

Like "steroids" are an ACTUAL class of drugs that are related to Testosterone itself, but that word is so often used to cover ALL of the PEDs used in sports. Like the altitude alone is almost a PED, because training that high up for extended periods of time litterally causes your body to react in the same way it would taking EPO. If you train at altitude like people such as Usman, Gaethje, Tony Ferguson etc do then your cardio is always gonna be improved. Or you can take EPO and train at sea level with the same benefits... Train at altitude PLUS take EPO... Just saying
