It's a very enigmatic place for all the paranormal people to investigate their causes to the full. I think I'd be brave enough to pay William Mackenzie his due visit! But during the broad daylight, not a night! No, not alone!
Apparently at one point, there was that many bodies in the cemetery. When it rained you could pull bones out of the ground. Beautiful cemetery and area. Use to spend most my teens up that neck of the woods. Born and bread in Edinburgh. Absolutely beautiful place. Mary King's Close is definitely worth a look.
👍🏻Maybe in the NEXT life you'll be even "luckier" & come back as a GLASWEGIAN. With an outstanding personality & sense of humour, unlike the po-faced "Edinbummers".🏴
Is ‘Edinbummers’ an example of the Outstanding Glaswegian sense of humour? If it is then you should probably stick to sectarianism, you’re much better at bigotry than comedy.
You really don't need spooky music, this is one of the scariest places you can visit. People have went on tours, came out with cuts and bruises on their faces - - and haven't a clue how they got them. I went on a tour, my wife left after 10 minutes (went and sat in the car), and the ONLY reason I stayed was our daughters were there and wanted the full tour (I freely admit I didn't enjoy myself, felt really uncomfortable as if there was someone behind me all the time)
This is so true to me, I went to Greyfriar's kirkyard with a group of fellow students on a night tour (but not fully guided so we could roam around freely) and some weird stuff happened there.. creepiest thing was when one of us walked straight towards MacKenzie's tomb and just stood in front of the locked gate staring in and not responding to any of us when we found him there!
I love love love Edinburgh. Its one of my favourite cities. I've visited all of the locations featured in your video many times. Greyfriars Kirkyard is awesome. I've done a couple of ghost tours round there (I've been in the black mausoleum) but I love walking around there in the daytime too! It's been a while since my last visit due the various lockdowns and restrictions so I need to get myself back up there ASAP!
I visited this wonderfull city about ten years ago. We did the tour on the greyfriars graveyard en in the vaults and it made a very big impression on me. Realy nice to see it again, thank you very much for this video
I went there today and managed to catch two orbs at the gate near the grave of bloody Michael, the place i managed to catch the orbs has been sealed by a gate because people were getting scratched and bruised and you now have to be 18+ to even go past the gate the medium that was doing the tour even said she will never go past the gate because of the negative energy. Also a fun fact in Edinburgh if you earn a certain income it is legal to keep a slave in your basement but you have to keep them chained up. Pretty creepy if you ask me.
the only company with access to the locked area is City of the dead tours, no other tour guides or companies have access, thats why your guide couldnt/wouldnt get access to that part.
This is the cemetery where Harry Potter character names were inspired from. You can also find Tom Riddle's grave there. I visited here alone and had no clue about the hauntings and the darkness. I literally got shivers watching this
Lovely vlog! Used to live beside Greyfriars, all windows faced the cemetery. It was a lovely cosy flat and very quiet. At what time you've been there? Around 4AM?
Really want to visit the cemetery. From what ive read a priest went their once and tried to free the spirits that were their but in the end it was just to much for him to do. He died a couple weeks later. Wherever it was natural courses or something else its definitely a coincidenc.
Please, Pedro, get the name right. The city is not called Edinburg. It is pronounced Edin-bur-ruh or sometimes Edin-bruh. It detracts from your excellent videos to hear you mispronounce it.
I've been here. There were tons of people milling about. A bit of a tourist spot. Everyone was smiling and in good spirits. We laid out a blanket and had a small picnic. We discovered a different attitude about death and cemeteries when we were in Scotland. In truth, you can stand just about anywhere and you'd be standing over a gravesite. It's an old place and a lot of people have died. Bodies are buried all over the country. 👻
Scotland has a lot of great and beautiful places to see, but what I liked and surprised more of all was its cemeterys, totally different what are in my country, Spain. But at night, dude, is a creeping idea. I would like to experience next time i'll go back to Scotland.
Soy español, estuve ayer, ahora solo te dejan hacerlo por tour (hay algunos en español), y no puedes acercarte mucho ya que experimentas dolor de cabeza, mordiscos etc.
I've been in Greyfriars cemetery and it certainly didn't feel haunted. On the contrary it felt warm and welcoming. The small memorial to Auld Jock and the statue of Greyfriars Bobby outside make the grounds pleasant and inviting.
Many people fear what they do understand, if entities like this do exist then they feed off the fear, so this is a good attitude to have regardless of your belief system.
Leah Janulgue the sun barely sets in Edinburgh during the summer, and rises at 3:30 4:00 am, so may e that’s the deal here. I’m in Edinburgh at the moment (July) so, every night it’s the same, and morning...same with the Netherlands and I’m assuming Scandinavia.
Hey I’m from Edinburgh was born just five minutes from the vaults grew up in the cannon gate covered every square inch of it underground places we Weren’t ment too we went camping in that grave yard also lyour looking in the right places out of interest u meet anything unsual u see here or see anything
This cemetery is in the middle of a very populated city. I don't believe it was pitch black. No scary vibes at all for me. The the spooky music was a nice touch. 😂 And don't believe all the stories about the bridge vaults. The tour guides make up new stories constantly. It's pretty funny actually.
A priest tried to perform exorcism in the church but George Mackenzie’s evil force has proven too much for him to handle and ended up dying. I sort of prayed in my house 20 minutes ago that George Mackenzie and his dark forces will no longer haunt the castle or dominate over the innocent souls he killed in his life
What is so exciting about playing with death ? But some seem to be predestined to be eternal friends with death. Because what do you actualy expect to find,if you go looking for the living among the dead ? You will surely meet those dwelling in the cemetery, won't you ? And don't tell me ghosts are haunting the cemetery,my goodness, they are at home. You Are Welcome !
The video is good but I disliked it. Don't do such adventures in a unknown place specially when u came there for first time. This place is really haunted n u should be very careful
Ghosts/Spirits are of the LOST. When their body of flesh dies, their eternal spirit, which was NOT reborn, can NOT enter the 'Spirit world' and is earthbound awaiting Judgment Day! Very SAD!
It was night actually. Between 3am and 4am if I remember correctly. That’s why you see on the corner of the footage the settings I had on the camera. I could barely see where I was going, but the camera could catch everything. The clouds look bright because of the lights of the city at night and the high ISO setting of the camera, it makes it look like it’s morning.
They should put more LIGHTING in the place. Anyone going there at night would be fairly easy prey to muggers, rapists, etc. I'd want to take a GUN if I went there at night.
My great great great great grandparents are buried here. I found it all out through that ancestory DNA. it was so interesting !
That is interesting...
Wow have you ever been to visit?
You need to go there
Is it true about paranormal activities there?

Any ideas why would they stay around where there buried? Wouldn't they want to see loved ones?
Do you ever get the feeling of being watched in cemeteries
What's the name of that music playing as you go through the castle
Why are the tombs so large - some look like small yards. Greyfriars doesn't give just a simple plot and headstone?
Nice one

There is a specific area that is closed and you can only go in with a guided tour.
Yes i heard the local gov stopped some tours because people were leaving with scratches, bruises and sickness after a visit.

I believe all cemeteries everywhere must be haunted. The same goes for hospitals.
Cemeteries are hallowed ground aren't they?
Doesnt look pitch black to me when he said it. U can see that theres plenty of light
It’s because of the camera, the video looks brighter than what it was. I could barely see anything.
