You're actually the cleanest pianist i've ever heard, I just can't believe you're so young. In my opinion, you're surpassing some of the oldest veteran pianists I've ever heard. That's just flawless.
Magnifique, grandiose !
People like you fuel my love for classical music. Keep working hard and you'll be immortalized even after you pass. Hopefully our paths might cross in this life or the next. Well done. Chopin would be proud.
When a horse wins a race by several lengths but the stewards place it fifth, you know they're either blind or biased. How this impossibly talented, passionate and accomplished maestra didn't win the Chopin competition by some margin remains one of life's mysteries. Suggest a new set of judges for next year's event...
100 % agree. She is by far one of the best interpreters and performers of Chopins music. And this includes the big names. To let her not pass is beyond comprehension....
WHOA!!! Not only is she beautiful, she can really kick ass at the piano, and I don't mean just in technique. This interpretation is different from mine, but I quite like this.
Truly amazing; not only the way you played the piano, but the expressions on your face while doing so made me shed tears. Keep up the good work, you're incredible.
This performance is just amazing. I think she is following the legacy of Claudio Arrau. Artists like her are necessary, she has very clear that music is about expression, and a good performance is about respecting the composer’s intentions. She is an amazing artist.
+Macgki They jurors did the same with Tiffany Poon. This, and Poon being passed by are not fair. I heard several pianists who are clearly less good than these 2 woman. In natalie, they may think 16 is too young. she will do better in 2020.
Omg you know Tiffany i love her❤ but I think I know why, Natalie played with too much musicality and rubato, she should follow more the dynamics in the notes and take care of the phrases, maybe thats why.
I don’t know much about judging in Piano competitions or classical music in general, but I heard someone say you should always be faithful to the score, and play as how the composer intended it to be played, so maybe that’s why she didn’t pass, but Idk I’m not an expert.
My teacher had a performance and competition career. Her observation is too many competitions are first focused on fast and loud. Musicality and playing at tempos which sing more than stun are not usually rewarded in the same way. BTW there is some notion that Natalie tends to play more like Chopin might have himself than many modern interpreters. His pianos of the time were lighter and more delicate and would have favored this melodious approach over a clangourious over-speed modern playing. As a rule so far I would listen to Natalie’s Chopin for musicality and touch, and listening pleasure in most all her recorded versions vs many famous player currently. Yes there are others more theatric and athletic but that can be more like classical WWE than watching ballet IMHO.
Delightful, this young woman shows an incredible sense of feeling for this work. I cannot help but think that Chopin would be as enthused about her playing .
This is literally a perfect performance.... I don't get how they didn't let you in Stage II. Every Chopin piece you play is like you having a conversation with him. Great job on everything!
she´s so easy to listen to.. it´s so refreshing, light and breezy despite playing Chopin´s ultra hard technique masterpiece Natalia manages to deliver suberb sound and, as Sander Cohen in Bioshock said, to seduce the ear and delight the spirit.. the ONLY other 2 pianists, who are able to do this for me are Fred Oldenburg and Valentina Lisitsa.. nobody else.. only those three.. flawless technique, easiness and immense emotional delight.. in fact listening to them often makes me wanna go and start learning to play piano..
You have some metal! I’d be afraid to death to perform in front of anybody other than my church family, let alone as well as you do! Super job, Natalie!
Very pleasant rendition. Technically very secure and not risk taking. A little more imaginative and personal approach may help her to come out of the pack.
Perfectly correct. Every young pianist (and most do) should listen to Horowitz' interpretation(s) of this - not to "copy", of course, but to learn from and grasp. Rubato and dynamics are very weak here - fortissimo, in selected phrases where necessary, completely absent. This is a bit mechanical and pedal heavy. She is a fine pianist (young and hence not musically mature - yet), so these are purely constructive observations.
Está pianista tem um nível altíssimo. Muito especial. Jovem. Porém veterana ao interpretar. Uma naturalidade, confiança, fluidez que choca se não estiver preparado para tal. Interpretação limpíssima, mágica. Que fascina a todos. DNA dos gênios de todas as épocas ( pianistas)...
Excellent Natalie.. No words!.. Your interpretations are impressive!.. I listened your recording of 'Scherzo in B-flat minor, accompanying the piano score. Chopin would be astonished.. I put you in my 'Favorites'.. Can I buy the CD?.. And a question: what is more beautiful? You or your Music?.. (From Brazil, Fabiano Araújo)
Great to see her smiling as she plays. Too many pianists are so serious. Amazing performance.
Amen to the trillionth power!
yeah she's so cute lol
Yeah... Let's see your face when you play. Or maybe you can't even play.
Yeah you try to smile when you have the pressure of being in a FUCKING CHOPIN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
@@jamien.5528 What the fuck are you saying he's just giving her a compliment, calm your shit.

The cream of the crop. This exactly how Chopin must be played. Natalia you're a hell of a pianist !

I love how her expressions change throughout the piece and match the emotions of the notes being played she did so good !!!!!!!!!
Effortless mastery! Technique and musicality on top level! Great Job!

My favorite participant in the Chopin Competition.
one of my favorite pieces of all time. She did it amazing justice and I fell in love with her emotion that she had invested into her playing.
... I have no words ... I have never seen so much grace: compliments! It is a joy to listen to Natalie Schwamova.

This is exactly how imagine Chopin played from the descriptions we have of his playing. Clarity and tone production and above all no harsh tone!
One of my favourite videos on you tube, for sure. Your playing, your body language, your passion. Perfect
NATALIE BRAVO!!! You're simply THE BEST!
Beautiful smile on her face ! Natalie, you should have won the competition ! Your #1 Fan
Very beautiful music, and pianist too! Thanks for your talent.
this one is much more beautiful than the other versions!! WELL DONE!
Mille bravos , heureux que les pièces du maitre soient aussi bien interprétées
A way better performance than most of the candidates' that passed. I really can't understand why you weren't among those
