Powerful vocals. His last live televised concert. He died 8 weeks later on 16 August 1977. A very sad day in the history of the world. He was loved worldwide. 😢🙏💟🌍🇿🇦🙏

One of his final gifts to us fans- for in just 6 short weeks he was singing with our maker.

This was the last song he sang on stage he died soon after and was very ill after years of taking drugs to sleep after shows and to get up the next day so his mind was lost a little but his voice stayed to the end...still amazing even overweight and drugged up and dying.. god bless...now he sings with the angels so it's worth trying to get into heaven to hear the chior

It was not his last song on stage -- he went on to do another concert a week later on June 26th; this concert here was the last FILMED concert on June 21st

For the longest time I couldn't bear to watch this concert and knowing what was about to happen weeks later. But I've been a musician my whole life and in the last 5 years or so I've seen many but not all of the songs from this performance and they are all so masterful. His vocal control and the way he worked with his incredible backing band and backing vocalist just got exponentially better right up until the day he died, literally. It's the strangest thing. And so now it's worth watching these for sure. Because it's just mind-blowing. It's really wonderful to see how you emotionally connect with the stuff and you really get it. That's so awesome.
