You could probably add the vertical clip to a compound clip, use distort to "squish" it to fill the compound clip and then adjust the X scale on the drop zone it should "unsquish" if that makes sense?
I am trying to do the same thing with a rotating shot of a stock video clip of a billboard (45 degree from left to right) and the clip has green screen with tracking markers. Is there an automatic way to change the perspective of the overlayed item on the greenscreen as the camera rotates around the billboard? I thought mtracker 3d would be able to do this automatically instead of keyframing and changing the overlayed item manually?
Can you do a tutorial on how to have Motion tracking with a green screen behind a model in fcxp. I’m interested in doing a green screen shoot but the still behind my model doesn’t move with my camera
Yeah it can be done but that's a bit more complicated. I would probably do it in After Effects personally, or maybe using something like Surface Tracker from PFS: bit.ly/FCPSurfaceTracker
@@Brad_West Yess like putting 3D models in your footage make it look realistic and stuff Idk if thats only possible in motion 5 but would love to see it done in final cut
Yeah it can definitely be done in FCPX. I’ll add that idea to my list. I know they have some tutorials like that on the official MotionVFX channel if you want to check that out in the meantime 😊👍🏼
in my window, where you need to click copy track, black screen. what is it? and how to fix it, I have already reinstalled several times, and it did not help
That’s definitely possible. Not sure if I would get a tutorial done in time. If you have Motion, this tutorial from The Final Cut Bro might be helpful: th-cam.com/video/Du6HaiF3V_U/w-d-xo.html
@@Brad_West Didn't help me. Would really appreciate it if you could create a video on it. Like a laptop/phone screen moving out of frame with a video on it.
Nice video! Can you show the mtracker 3d in an actual 3d scenario? Like a turn while walking etc, i want to know if the mtracker can compete with the after effects camera track :)
How strange. On desktop, when you turn on the bell you have the option to receive “some” notifications or “all” notifications. Make sure you have “all” selected. Hope that helps 🤞🏼 😊
Congratulations but please pay attention to customer support. I had a question after my last purchase and could not connect. The chat talks about a few hours for a reply but no reply was sent. So, do you expect to type a message and than wait a few hours :) What about email or phone support?
@@Brad_West Hi Brad. I could not find any email mentioned on the website. Only a chat service, and when you type your question, you get an automated reply that takes a few hours to reply. So closed my computer and got no response.
This is such a bizarre misuse of mTracker even though it did mostly work out in this case. I feel like you should absolutely make clear to your audience though that mTracker is actually for camera-solves in 3D space though and NOT a planar tracker as you seem to be representing it here. Can make for some for big misunderstandings down the road.
Hey Scott. Thanks for the comment. Yeah it’s not the primary use of mTracker 3D but it was a request from someone asking if it was possible to do screen replacement using mTracker. In my in depth video on mTracker that I mentioned in the video, I go over what mTracker can really do in 3D space. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Yeah there are multiple ways (and there's definitely an easier way) but I was answering the question and showing that it's possible to do with mTracker 3D. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment Ed 😀
What kind of tutorial would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments down below. 😊👇🏼
Thanks Brad! I had a go with Slice X/Track X and didn't find it reliable. I might give this a go instead.
Let me know what you think of it 😊👍🏼
Yet again, helpful video that taught me a lot.
Happy to hear it Mark! Thanks for watching 😊🙌🏼
here we go.. another great tips, thanks guys

Thanks, is there a way to resize the drop zone to an iphone size? we’re trying to use display stand but we’re having trouble

Is it possible to distort a video over a curved surface? like a curved billboard?
Yeah it can be done but that's a bit more complicated. I would probably do it in After Effects personally, or maybe using something like Surface Tracker from PFS: bit.ly/FCPSurfaceTracker
Men!! i cant find the Keyer effect on my effects panel. Please help!
It should be under the "masks and keying" category or you can search for the word "keyer" in the effects browser.
@@Brad_West I found it, it comes out as Green screen keyer, but when I apply it, it is still green.
@@carlosamador7502 Use the sample color parameter to select the green and then make sure the view is set to composite.

does mTracker support Apple`s M1 Chip?
Yeah it does. It's M1 compatible 😀
Although mTracker is a superb bit of software I think there’s easier solutions for simple screen replacement.
Agreed Dave 😊 There are multiple (and easier) ways to do a screen replacement. This is just to show that it’s possible with mTracker 3D.
