    🏆 *Game changer advice!* Imo, hands-down this is the best Keying tutorial out there. Your teaching style is superb and easy to understand and implement. By the time I got through this exercise, I didn't apply every trick you shared, but I smartly chose the best for my foreground and background combo. _Please keep making great content like this!_ 🙌

    Hi Jenn, I just wanted to say I love you. I looked up multiple tutorials and then yours literally helped me figure out how to use the "Green Screen Keyer" effect immediately. THANK YOU!!!

    I've been doing FCP for years and resently using a green screen for my business. I've only used it thus far just to clear the green background. Now I know and want to do more with it. THANKS!

    2 tips I've learned over the years are:
    -Shoot at a higher framerate if you can. This will lessen any green that seeps through in the motion blur
    -You can also use the hue v hue curve to control the spill and shift it to a more natural color. Works great for hair.

      Absolutely agree!!! If possible, we also try to shoot on 4K RAW. And if you have the camera even more resolution. This is very helpful.

    An excellent tutorial Jen but one thing: what's this arugula of which you speak? Over here in Tropical Scotland, we call it rocket (also a bizarre name for leafy things) but then, over here in Scotland we'll eat just about anything - no matter what you call it. I've always been reluctant to use keying but, now you have explained how it works so well, I'll rush off, strip our bed of sheets, hang them up and try out the technique on our dog (Katy). Please keep the excellent tutorials coming. Scotland loves you!

    10 bit, Profess 422 and Apple log makes doing green screen so much easier!!! I’ve been shooting using my iPhone 15 Pro Max but using Profess 422 HQ Big files but worth it. Good Tutorial.

    I am relatively new at green screen keying. Your videos are on a different level of expertise than most of the green screeners--THANK YOU! I recently went from a purchased green screen to painting a wall in my office and adding 4 flat LED lights. The edge of my image is bright (more white than green) which you remedied in this video by dialing up the black in the "Matte Tools." However, in my shot it does not help. Then, I tried the "Edges" tool in the "Refine Key" section. All it did was affect other colors in my shirt. I AM STUMPED! Am I too close to the green screen ( 36" away)? Are there some settings on my Sony ZV-1 that might help? What am I missing? THANKS.

    Is there a video, or a resource or your suggestions about settings for a camera (I have the Sony ZV-1) that will aid in green screen editing?

    Thank you! I think the green screen keyer is hard to use. In this case it seems we have lost the blue in the subjects eyes. Is there a fix?

  • @MattBauerBellawatt

    Fantastic tutorial with lots of great tips! One thing you didn't address was how to handle the woman on the blue screen's blue eyes -- are the eyes going to need to be masked/rotoscoped back in, or is there a simpler way to handle this?

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would duplicate her as a connected clip and mask out the eye area.
