    I have been doing foundations for ten years and earth work for 20 and this is the first time I have seen planks used as forms since never! I know old timers did this, I love it! Look straight and nice.

    The cement job looks great. The video is also very helpful and to the point. Thank-you for sharing.

    I'm new to the structural modeling industry, watched this video to learn more about stemwalls etc. Thanks so much!

    You can never "overkill" waterproofing. Everything on a house can be (relatively) easily accessed to repair/rectify on a house except for the basement/crawl space walls and floors.

    Excellent work!
    I seldom use duplex nails anymore as i find making fine adjustments in the form boards are easier if we use screws instead of the duplexes, maybe because we make more initial mistakes than the average guy!

    Is a monolithic pour of the footings and stem walls pretty typical?

    • @topsaw
      @topsaw  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes pretty common

    What was used to waterproof the foundation behind the dimple mat? Did you have to fill the holes from the snap tie cones before water proofing and if so, what did you use? Any recommendations for finishing exposed stem walls facing the inside of the building.

    How long have u had a channel, I love concrete, a sqared plus b sqared equals c sqaured

    • @topsaw
      @topsaw  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've had a channel for quite awhile, it is all things wood. I teach high school woodshop and do tree work on the weekends. Just happens that I'm building a house right now and documenting the process

    I noticed the vertical stem wall (posts) were down in the footings. Is that common place if you are getting inspected?

    Nice job on the foundation? What are the form boards you used? They look like solid wood on one side and osb/plywood on the other? Thank you

    • @topsaw
