Thanks for that interesting interview. I'm german, so the comparision of the german culture to another one got my attention, especially to a hard-to-find comparision as to the moroccanian culture. Since Maha's new region (North of Baden-Württemberg) is my origin, it was a pleasure to listen to her experiences.

Yes when you go to Morocco they will force put the cakes and tea in front of you even if you just had dinner lol. Also, religion and marriage do play a much stronger role in relationships as opposed to the west.

even I am Filipino, stereotypical, they are opposite of Germans. Sometimes I feel like I become more German, because I know what my priorities are😅. I am not friendly in the beginning, but as we get to know each other, i can be the friendliest and the most hospitable person.😂

I am also facing the same problems with the Germans, they either don't invite or don't come to visit me in my house, (if they are my neighbours & friends; as some other warmer cultures). Even they mention it was nice meeting you, when I invite them. I am failing to understand this behaviour, how they feel about me, they like me or not😅

In the Heidelberg area there are not so big cities. I grew up in Freiburg and they also think they are a Großstadt. Berlin is 800 km away .

Hi Maha, if you don’t mind, can you tell me how did you manage to move to Germany from Morocco? Is it hard to get a working visa? I am trying to help my friend from Morocco :)

Hello! To be honest, it was quite hard to get a visa from the German Embassy in Morocco... in my case it was a student visa, and despite the fact that I had been in a European school, that I had all the necessary documents, the whole visa process was very tedious... Once in Germany, things got easier. My tip is to really be patient and not give up, important is to have all the documents they ask for in order (B1 language certificate, a work contract, bank account in Germany, etc)

    Thank you, it was interesting.
It's funny that she thinks that Morocco has better weather than Germany. It's hard enough to just walk in a hot climate, leave alone hiking. When temperature is above +25° I mostly think about getting to AC.
The best hiking date I've been on was at -25° C. We took a train for 2 hours, then a bus, and from there we hiked 25 km 😊
Germany is a bit warm for me, but I think I could fit right in.

Imagine if the Chanel did a skit with a frantic foreign female , trying to adapt to first dates in germany. She would have to use a first date like she's going to an exercise class .
She would have to be on her best behavior , to get a second date. She would go frantic if she is going only on first dates or adapt into being an exercise queen . Going through all this , just to pay for self on the sevond date . She wouldn't be sble to afgord to date , pulling lint out of her purse . Do women pay for their own drinks to , at rhe bars .
Men who date in Germany must have it good . The only liberal thing to import into the U.S and Canada .
Even foreign men will quickly adapt to the dating culture there :) .
