Cannot wait to see more glitches in the future for mk7! I was experimenting with that glitch strategy for a couple weeks back in 2019 and never knew it was possible until TAS finally proved it was really possible!
I’m so starved for a new Mario kart game that I’ve somehow gotten bored of seeing Mario kart Wii break apart so I’m now hooked on seeing this 3DS game get torn
MK7 definitely usually has different styles of glitches than mkwii. Especially with many of the newer ones which involve going through walls that don't have collision.
I knew this would be faster on a flap right before the first TAS, but I thought it would be slower 3lap! And more comments to lead to me finding out the new best sub possible is sub 1:35! I can't wait for more optimized Tases!
MK7 isn't my favorite Mario Kart, but it's absolutely the most unique (for... a multitude of reasons) and crazy runs like this are exactly why. Mario Kart Wii, I love you, I think you are the most satisfying Mario Kart game to play competitively. I think Nintendo did you dirty by never giving you a revised port/remaster and I think the modding community carries a lot of that weight. But nobody has ever made a TAS this clean in Mario Kart Wii. Sometimes actual impressive driving is what you're after, seeing the same exact kinds of wall clips repeated, same tactics different track, that only keeps its wow factor for so long. But play like this, this will never cease to be satisfying to watch, and the craziest part is, I feel like a lot of these tricks are probably possible humanly (given more time taken for alignment), this isn't some totally frame perfect, no chance wall clip. Things present in this clip likely have merit in competitive play, and that's something you almost never get in MKWii. Vs mode and time trials are played completely differently in Wii, in 7 they match up in places. And 7's absolutely the more balanced game. I never minded that Wii was dominated by 2 vehicles but for whatever reason, a lot of people did. The Flamerunner feels better than any other vehicle in Mario Kart history, thank you for coming to read my original hot take, but do you pull THIS off with the Flamerunner? No. This was awesome to watch.
this is why I love 7, there's so much freedom of exploration that gifts skills. 8 deluxe is so strict with shortcuts lakitu always gets you back whenever you get slightly off
I don't have the DLC so i haven't experimented with it, but you can drop down below very easily, but lakitu picks you up when you try to drive forwards
@@ancientmkw It's one of those things where i lost almost all the time on the gliders since i'm not the best with gliders, so it's hard for most people to see it
There definitely are, there are two videos that i know of where the lap just didn't count for no reason which i'm sure could be exploited in some way, and there's also random respawns which if a way to forcefully cause them is found then that's immediately multiple new glitches
Well if you ever want to come back, it's still very easy to get into a worldwide, and there is a competitive scene if that's more what you're interested in :)

I didn't take it as a negative thing lol, just didn't understand what you meant. Yeah, this game has some really cool things that can be done with the edges of tracks
I don't remember exactly, but I know it was a decent amount of time. I didn't have much experience on this track when I started making this which didn't help lol

Yup! I spent quite a while trying to work on my S1s to get it to a place where it'd be able to just about hold on to the end of the run in front

Yeah 😂. To be fair this wasn't a new glitch, it's been known for a few years, but everyone thought it was slower

We use a lot of tools to make it easier, but it's all done in citra emulator
