On what side of the floor? Driver side has an access panel to fill the brake master cylinder and i think there is an access on the passenger side to get to the trans switches and governor. I have not had the carpet up yet to know for sure.
I have a 1949 dodge coronet gyro matic. I’m trying to drain and change all the fluids but I read something about these cars having a fluid drive. Apparently it’s separate from transmission and takes different kind of fluid so I was wondering if you knew anything about that.
Yes the fluid drive is like a torque converter and has fluid in it. I was looking into changing that fluid on mine but decided not to. It does have a drain plug but everything I read and see was that it is a life long fluid and does not need to be changed. It can but might cause issues. Making sure the proper oil and level is MOST important if you are going to go for it. If it is working normally I say run it as is. Some of the Chrysler cars had a diffrent set up that had oil from the motor run through the torque converter. Good luck 👍
Cool video brotha!! Very helpful!
Thanks. Your welcome😎
There is a "fill here" cap on the floor in the cab. Any idea what that is?
