My *26" huffy beach Cruiser* makes a *poppin crackin noise* like every 1 minute or so *when paddlin!??* When I *Stop Paddling, and Coast,... it Rides Fine and quite!?🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️* 🤔🤨I NOTICED The *Berring Cap Cover* on the *Brake side* is Sorta warp, but the tire runs True..🤷🏿♂️
Might have a broken tooth on one of the gears inside
I was gonna not centre them and then drive really fast. Glad i saw this tutorial first.
LOL
Looks awesome! Where did you get the heavier springs and what spring rate did you use because I hear that it’s important to do that since the OEM ones are so soft
Racetech springs. I got the heaviest they offer. I don't recall the spring weight. Made a big difference.
GREAT WAY TO RUIN THAR RUBBER GASKET YOU 🤡
Is that a wire running straight from the battery to the ignition coil?
Yes it is. It is the ground wire for the coil. It is a positive ground system. That is how Pertronix said to wire it. I had it temporarily like that. Later I ran the wire to the ground on the block.
Nice
Hahah seeing this puts a little tear in my eye man, I got a son can’t wait for him to start walking and mix up my tools haha. You’re a good dad brother.
Thank you. It's the joy of my life
That’s cool I’ve never heard of it. thanks for the info
Glad to help. Got to be creative on a budget.
My mechanic told me this is common with older Harley’s up to 04 with spoked rims, causing speed wobbles my sporty been wobbling every time I hit around 80 and it’s annoying ima put it on the dolly n see if I got the same problem
Yes. It is part of the routine maintenance to check the spokes every 10k if i recall correctly. Also worn or loose swing arm bearings/ bushings will cause the wobble too.
Hardware stores give out those paint can openers. They work great when taking that dust cap off those one piece cranks.
Never thought of that. Thanks
Nice job!
Thank you. I appreciate the comment 🙏
You made a côté memory for you kid jeep beeing a great dad
Thank you 👍
the rizzler v2
Very good idea THANKS
I have a 1949 dodge coronet gyro matic. I’m trying to drain and change all the fluids but I read something about these cars having a fluid drive. Apparently it’s separate from transmission and takes different kind of fluid so I was wondering if you knew anything about that.
Yes the fluid drive is like a torque converter and has fluid in it. I was looking into changing that fluid on mine but decided not to. It does have a drain plug but everything I read and see was that it is a life long fluid and does not need to be changed. It can but might cause issues. Making sure the proper oil and level is MOST important if you are going to go for it. If it is working normally I say run it as is. Some of the Chrysler cars had a diffrent set up that had oil from the motor run through the torque converter. Good luck 👍
What is a childhood project you remember?
this is exactly what me n my pops made when i was little too!
Super cool. I made one with my cousin when we were kids. Fun memories
what bike are you working on?
Good video! Ford had 6 volt in trucks until 1955. In 1956 they went to 12 volt.
Nice, but I think the music is too short a loop and maybe a bit too busy?
Advice taken. Thank you.
Thank you. My hatch hasn't worked for about 8 years or better. Now it works.
Wow! That's good to hear
Jesus is coming
I’m glad that I came across your video. I was going to cut mine up to remove but I followed your video and came right out. Thanks so much for posting. 😊
AWESOME!!! Glad to help
Ninja 250 lookin clean af 🔥
Super nice , I got to ask what rims are those?
I believe they are Arlen Ness "Y" Spoke rims. thanks for the comment
Incredibly great video. Nice to see someone that understands these concepts. ATTA BOY
Thank you. Much Appreciated
Good info on the Jasco, will use that for reference knowing that it will remove over spray paint without eating the original powder coat paint.
Glad it helped. Thanks for the comment 👍
Nice👍💪🥐
😊 thanks
Do you have a video on a complete repair??
Unfortunately not yet.
I’m having the same issue what do I do to fix it Tin man?
You need to pull the inner and outer primary off, remove exhaust, pull the gear pack out of the trans case and inspect what failed. Also inspect the main drive gear teeth and shift dog pockets. You can rebuild the gear pack but it might be more cost effective and less stress to replace the gear pack, just slide it in. Good luck 👍
@@sideyardmechanic 16 FXDLS 6speed I beat the shit out of it, In its early age and the gear forks plus 3 gear eaten up.
ballpark on what this would cost at a non dealership shop?
@infamouswcr Hard to say. To replace the gear pack and main gear it's gonna be at least 4hrs labor (cost depends on labor rate) Here in the SF bay area aftermarket shop rates are around $100 an hour, dealerships are almost $200 plus another est $2k in parts.
Just a heads up, not a super hard job but there is a hand full of special tools needed for bearings and seals to install correctly. Good luck
Exactly what happened to mine i spent $200 on a barnett clutch was pretty easy straightforward install hardest part was the clip but rides so much smoother an the kit came with extra plate ..basic tools ..had to make a clutch spring thingy
Great Job 👏

good video
Thank you. Hope it helped 🙏
My motorcycle is not catching in 4,5,6 gear why is that?
Could be multiple things. Clutch can slip in higher gears if it is burnt, worn or out of adjustment. You can drain the trans fluid and see if there is metal shavings on the drain plug. Good luck. Keep me posted on what you find.
@@sideyardmechanic thanks yea we just bought some new ones right and then I had put them in road around on it then it didn’t seem right took them to a mechanic and he said the plates was in wrong so therefore I road around on it with them installed wrong
Then he fixed it now I realize that I the gears won’t pull in 4,5,6th gear
So that mean they’re burnt right?
It’s the rider not the bike
Yes.
👍exact problem with my sonic, i dont beleive my mechanic said, well there's no code so i dont know
Hope you were able to get it fixed. Yep some issues won't trip the CEL. Good luck 👍
What did you take off
It was a warranty replacement. Stock motor. Thanks for the comment
Nice car
Yes it is. The owner did all the work himself, beautiful job
Wow!
This video helped me a LOT - thank you! I was completely stumped on why my starter motor was so sluggish after taking it apart, cleaning it, testing 6 volts was reaching it... But yes, it wasn't getting the amps it needed. THANK YOU!
Woooooo!!!! Awesome, glad it helped. 😀
What’s her name?
Lol, not sure? It's not mine.
What type of bolts are good for the chain pulley ? Mine just broke off looking into repairing mine soon
You want to use at least a grade 8 bolt? Usually we put Arp hardware on the rear sprockets. Make sure that the bolts are long. Enough, and have enough thread engagement in the hub Make sure to use red thread locker. It is also a good idea to check the bulb torque every service or sooner, depending on how hard you ride the bike. Thanks for the question good luck
@@sideyardmechanic thanks for the info
Cone looks a bit rough
Yes i agree. I'm looking in to a replacement. Thanks for the comment
@sideyardmechanic Goodluck!
Bad ass
Bad ass
Bit really a simple fix lol
awesome inside look. Why that motor swap on warranty, what broke?
Mostlikly it was a seized piston or broken valve spring. Common issue on the first Gen M8s. Thanks for the comment😀
Where did you get your new cables from?
I got the cables, clips and other hardware from www.midfifty.com check out the part 1 video I show everything in the packages in the first few seconds of the video. Thanks for tuning in.
@@sideyardmechanic awesome thank you
