- Bo's 12th song "Rant" which he later released as part of his Words, Words, Words album on October 19th, 2010. This was at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Oregon on October 16, 2009.
Lyrics:
All the seats at the Sunday masses
Filled with the masses massive ass
Classes bypass as fast as molasses
Ceremonial reading glasses
Read!
A little bit of Leviticus
All the kids are a little too little for this
All the parents nod in agreement
I think I can vaguely see what he meant
Its too early in the morning glory
To read another allegory story
The father reads a little bit farther
Assuring the assured that they need not bother
When God
In verse 45
Said that slaves are okay to buy
He meant that people all from the start
Each have slaves within their hearts
Things that we have sold or bought
Then are forced to pick our moral cotton
He calls us to set these free
Free our hearts from slavery
And then as God goes on to explain
The logistics of buying and selling slaves
He was fucking around
In the back I sit and I nod
To the beats that are bumping from my iPod
My god theyre starting to pray
And over the music I can hear them say
"Dear God"
"Dear Lord"
"Dear vague muscular man with a beard or a sword."
"Dear good all seeing being
My way or the highway, Yahweh"
The blue balled anti masturbator
The great all loving faggot hater
I'd like to thank your holy might for
Making me both rich and white and
Though this is your day of rest
I come to you with one request
There's so much pain beyond this steeple
Wars and drugs and homeless people
Sadness where there should be joy
Hate and rape and Soldier Boy
A world of darkness needs your light
So I'm sure your schedules pretty tight but
My dog just had surgery
If you could fix that first...
Deborah
Messing's fingers in a holy place
Hail Mary full of Grace
Obama
Could you pass some hope to the pope
I know a couple dudes who want to elope
See the Church said nope so bros can't cope
The bros can grope but the bros can't cope
They've been in love and they've been addicted
Who said they shouldn't?
Benedict did
Cause in the holy land of the Lord
He's the holy landlord
And dicks are evicted
Cause you can be a benedict
If you've been a dick under Benedict
But you cant have benedicts
Because there's only one Pope
With only one dick
What? Yeah
A dick on a Pope is just like a soap on a rope
Cause its pointless unless in prison
Throw up your Bibles
Christ has risen
Hallelujah now its raining men
Because the gender ratios 1 to 10
Winos at the eucharist station
Transgendered substantiation
Jesus wasn't the Messiah
Get back on the heretic and I'm on fire
It was Oedipus those holy nights
The holy mother fu**ing Christ
I'm a blasphema
Post Katrina
Crusin' the marina
On a crusade the crew's aides
And blast FEMA
You're too late
Were fucked
We don't need ya

"It was Oedipus, those holy nights. The holy motherfucking Christ." His wordplay is simply amazing.
The entire 'Benedict' section is, in my opinion, some of Bo's most impressive lyricism ever.
+Gabby King That and all of "I'm Bo yo".
+Gabby King That and all of "I'm Bo yo".
+Idiosyncratic Allan Just listened to Bo Yo, song, because of ur comment!!NICE!! :-) Thank You
Jamie Whitehead Welcome
don’t forget words words words and eff
Sometimes i forget how long Bo has been performing
the fact that ppl cheered when he said he went to catholic school... they werent ready
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY😭
Reminds of Take Me To Church
Lol
I love how you can hear that people wanna cheer on so many of his elaborate jokes and such, but they barely contain themselves cos they dont wanna interrupt his fire
Bo is so badass when he raps
i once heard someone say that this song was offensive and derogatory because it uses the word f@ggot, and yeah that word is shitty. trust me, i'm called it often, it is pretty shitty. but despite his young age and lack of experience, in this song bo questions religious hypocrisy, sexism, homphobia, and the general selfishness of the human race, all while having more impressive wordplay than pop musicians nowadays. so yeah, it uses the word f@ggot ironically and it could have avoided that despite it being used with a contextual purpose, but of all of bo's early work, this song is one of the most genius.
I so kept singing "Amen. In the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. Hands, shoulders, knees, and toes. Turn up your nose. Strike that pose. HEY MACARENA!"
Amen. In the name of the father, son and holy ghost. Head, shoulders, knees and toes. Turn up your nose, strike that pose. Heyyyy macarena!
Yeah, just like in the song!
Whats your point?
I love your pfp, I know this was three years ago but yeah :))
The agnostic in me is loving the shit out of this. He really is an awesome wordsmith, and he does have great messages behind most of his songs, even if it's hard to hear underneath all the humor, y'know?
(Also, just a little thing, but I think it's "Get back, I'M A heretic and I'm on fire")
I was 3 when he performed this. Wow.
Same 🤣
Same
Same tf 😂
Same GAHAHAHA
2006 gang!!
I love how like in every show he is drinking red bull
I was 5 when he sang this song.
I was 6 starting school Wtf
I was 9 lol
I was 4 RIP

I went to a catholic school or 10 years. he captured my feelings PERFECTLY!!! loveeeee yoouu Bo!!
He’s been articulating the thoughts and feelings of the silenced for a long time apparently I fuckin love it
"Deborah
Messing's fingers in a holy place
Hail Mary full of Grace"
I don't get it.
It’s a TV show, Will and Grace,, Grace is a lesbian.
i've memorized this entire song
You're welcome, and thank you for the correction!
The chapter of Leviticus he is referring to is Chapter 25
AMAZING!
Bo is what I live for!
1.5 speed=gold
+Timothy Reilly yup reeall nice
@Omnilegence You sir, have surpassed the level of amazingness that I have ever seen on a youtube comment by atleast 300 points. You are awesome.
Gotcha, thank you!
i miss him!
I love watching his live performances. You can see personality in him oppose to his videos he uploads himself.
Hella funny!!!! We love him!
Bo never said he was gay but it could be implied and he sure talks about it a lot. He has a strong sense of support for in most of his songs for he mentions gay people or being gay and hates on God or other people who don't like them.
:( Hey he forgot the best part at the end.... "Amen, In the name of the father son and the holy ghost, head shoulders knees and toes. Turn up your nose, strike that pose, Hey macarena!!"
I agree with ThePhillyDz. He is brilliant and the fact that he can make it funny enough to where people that don't fully understand this rant still laugh makes him even more of a genious.
LOVE
This guy is fucking brilliant.
chills..... nuf said
1:40 to 2:17 is my favorite part xD
in the back I sit and I nod, to the beats that are bumping from my ipod
It's an Apple loop on Garage Band...
Did apple make the lyrics? /s
Oh yeah, good point. Thanks for the correction!
Genius.
Thanks for putting the lyrics, I always get confused hearing the Benedict part.
@Rocky183 Deborah Messing is an actress who played Grace in the the show Will&Grace. So Mary is full of "Grace"
dude this rap is fucking awesome
I live in Portland! What he was here?! Ugh! Wish I could hve seen him!
general1179 um bo has a second channel and he posted his song with the lyrics in the description and the hey macarena verse was there as well as on the track of this on his released cd so it was part of the song the video just cut off too soon
Can someone explain the Debra joke to me?
Yeah sure, Debra Messing played a character called Grace in Will and Grace which was about a gay lawyer and her. She also played Mary Magdelena in a movie. So her 'finger in a holy place' is her fingering herself, Mary (a character she played) is filled with Grace (another character she played).
Educated Exorcist thanks
I'm seeing Bo October 24th!
Win!
bo and eminem are in different categories tho, saying either one is better than another is is like saying a baseball player is better than a soccer player. because bo is a comedian and eminem focuses on mainstream rap. it would be interesting to see what bo could do if he wrote a mianstream rap or had dre write one for him.
@TrickersProductions Im pretty sure that the backing music is from the garageband software. Fort minor used it in one of their songs aswell.
@DarkWind116 yes that is the music from fort minor in the background
The beat is Fort Minor - Believe
The violin beat in the background is from Fort Minor - Believe Me
Bo nice
Its an instrumental he made up using Garage Band. It consists of a loop called strings 08.
what is that thing he does with his fingers with the water before the song starts?
when the intro of the beat is on.
i love his lyrics ha. He does a lot of word play which is hilarious, he is pretty much amazing, ha.
bo goes ham haha!!!
i love you.
Just to let all know. Eminem is one of Bo's idols.
@tbird24 Hail Mary is a prayer that is said to honor mother mary. "Fingers in a holy place" - he makes a fingering motion, and holy place is her snatch (because to a man that is holy, and in a typical bo burnham play on words a vagina is also *HOLEY*) As for the "Hail Mary full of Grace" part you're right, deborah messing played grace on the show "Hail Mary full of Grace" is the first line in the prayer as well. There are many references in the joke, football isn't one of them.
damn that was intense haha
And that's how Benedict Cabaggepatch got his name
@MrYotsuki he's saying it's better to be the 'Devil' rather than an 'Angel'
@upurs2410 i dont either. oedipus was the guy that killed his father and married his mother without knowing, wasnt he?
hello comments from 12 years ago
@bhhcht its a loop on garageband aswell
@bhegs1 Debra Messing played Grace on Will and Grace.
@jerm08 it's actually a beat from garage bad I've used it before
This song is called Rant by the way.
It's a loop on garageband. Anyone can use it.
blessing the stage undoes all of his insults towards god
HAHAHAHA! You my friend raise yourself a mighty point. That is if you're sure what you're saying there haha.
@CoryRayRodriguez ...and we are on the planet Earth
does anyone know the name of the song? i know its fort minor - believe me. but i need a link that is just these violins because that song had a lot of extras.
what is the song playing in the background, did he make it?
Sadness where there should be joy, Hate and R*** and soulja boi hahahahahahaha best lines of any song ever xD
yeah he did. thats fort minor. it is def a sick beat and fort minor is awesome, in part to mike shinoda of linkin park being it the group
I know, I wonder why he didn't finish it!
LOOOL.
@searsda12 did you ever find out what his soundtrack was?
Does anyone know the song? Please message me the name... Just the background music not bo's song
@woodmanship enuff said. i totally agree
@at3019 actually it's Debra Messing.
@MrAnjelorion nah it's a generic beat from garage band, that's why he said that from the beginning XD
@Dramagurl26 Believe Me by Fort Minor?
Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company
@boricaface Agreed! Big Eminem fan here..but Burnham is genius on a whole another level.
haha so funny! does anyone know what the song is in the background?
by garage band, he means the music program like fruit loop.
not an actual band
~Cheers
Anyone else notice he says the product of "bath"?
I think I just came.
what does he meen by "soldier boy" ?? 2:08
@Voltron9293 "Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven."
@TeddyVerseti1 Amen to that.
@MrUndacovabrova He looks up to Em....
No the macarana part he added on for that performance it wasn't originally there
@TheKR0N1Kkilla I question your motives for posting that. It's a very suggestive selection of information. George Carlin is also one of his idols as well as a much more inspiring and insightful person in general, why not post that?
I'd suggest that you probably like Eminem and rather that for the reason of 'just letting us know' you were in fact attempting to validate your opinion of Eminem by indirectly fostering popularity for Eminem.
Perhaps you feel unintelligent for liking him?
I'm thinking it's "And blast FEMA" considering he was talking about hurricane Katrina etc.
what is this song really called? im trying to get it on limewire
@Schuust420 i agree he has mad talent but he didnt make that beat its a preset on garage band
i dont think anyone their got the oedipus joke.
Isn't that what he sings? It his own song anyways, so he can do whatever he wants with the song, it's still amazing.
@rocknrollersforevr27 - your first mistake is using limewire...
