Watch his newer stuff, his voice seems higher pitched, which is the opposite of what you'd expect.
He seems to be pitching it higher on purpose these days. Perhaps it's a part of his sexually ambiguous stage persona. Could also be for the sake of anonymity - no one who listens to his songs and specials would recognize his natural baritone out on the street or wherever.
