This project is divided into two main sections: the cave and its outer surroundings.
My primary objective was to offer a modern interpretation of Planet Wisp from Sonic Colors. Unlike the original levels, which predominantly featured factory settings, I focused more on the naturalistic aspects. I tried to portray a recurring theme in Sonic games: the detrimental impact of industrialization on nature.

nahhh when Act 3 music hit with the night version my soul felt replenished
1:56 and 2:07 were my favorites, seeing everything light up is so beautiful
This is a REALLY BEAUTIFUL project, this level of environmental art is superb and it's the quality i want from the official games, i can just imagine an Planet Wisp open zone with this

By no definition was Colors Ultimate supposed to be this. It was explicitly supposed to be a remaster, whereas this video is showing off what would be considered a remake. You're conflating remasters with remakes. Of course, Colors Ultimate failed to be either by managing to be an active downgrade from the original in every way.
@@HOTD108_ except they only said that in the final stages of development, by all means sonic should have been a remake. instead they gave us a half baked remaster. what's worse sega just denied the existance of the ds version which personally, i don't think was that bad, especially since that version is probably more faithful to the older games anyway with the inclusion of the other mainline charecters

Even Skyward Sword got a better remaster treatment. I even think Skyward Sword is a better game than Sonic Colors both story wise and gameplay wise.
Why TH-cam would wait until a month later to show me this masterpiece is beyond me. You, sir, are underrated.

this looks amazing! i would honestly play this if it were a real level, planet wisp was already great in colors but i love the level design here

This is what has been missing in sonic games for me since generations. A beautiful and detailed level design.
making the environment look this good throughout a whole stage thats long enough for sonic to run through really fast would be kinda pointless and way too time consuming

This is THE BEST Sonic X Shadow Generations fan content I have ever seen. The other videos I've seen are just Sonic Generations soundtracks with I Am All Of Me slapped over it.

This is so cool man, i love all the details, my childhood is here and better.
You know its crazy just how detailed some levels be in sonic games when you just zip on by them in like 2 seconds and dont notice just how much work is out into them. Like even on the genesis they would have animated plants just for the heck of it despite most players not even noticing them, let alone now with HD environments you can barely see in detail when boosting through it all.

Insane work! Honestly i always loved Sonic Games for the incedible music in the games this made me reminisce those times i used to play Colors on an Wii Emulator on my pc good times! Unleashed prob remains my favourite tho! Excited for what's to come next!

Hey I used blender and Zbrush for the models, substance painter and designer for the textures and unreal engine to create the scene and materials
