Better to just stop overthinking it and accept he's a videogame...
@@vittosphonecollection57289tbh i think that still is the case? I won't garuntee it but the brain does work pretty damn fast. It's just that to have super speed your brain has to be even faster.

Cool fact, in one of the Sonic twitter takeovers, it’s confirmed that spinning is really dizzying and sickening at first, they just get used to it, meaning what sonic sees while jumping is pretty accurate.
This shows that Sonic doesn't just has great speed, but also great reflexes. I mean, when he uses the homing attack on multiple enemies, he barely has time to see them.
Okay and what have you been watching? He's been doing this since day 1 1991. What does the opening of Sonic CD, Adventure 2, Heroes, Riders, Unleashed, and 06 and practical every Sonic game show. 😂

Maybe super reaction time? Maybe its a feeling? Maybe he scans the path ahead before he does any spinning and then just kinda does it blindly with the memory of what he scanned?
well in real life, you can't change the direction youre falling mid-air, not in the short distance of a jump, so perhaps it's just trust? like despite spinning he knows which direction he's falling and all he needs to do is feel the inertia
I've just realized that Sonic (and possibly the vast majority of video game characters) spend a concerning amount of time running around while not knowing where they're going. If this was me, I'd be splattered against the wall.
yeeeee im gonna say that is scientifically possible, with his processing speed simply being faster than ours. Many bugs such as flies see the world in "slow motion" due to that too! he brain quick
I'm one of the few who can follow this I think. The jumping doesn't throw me off, the tricks are still cool in my opinion, the only thing that'd make this better at disorienting is if the camera locked in the space between Sonic's pupils so it'd follow not just his head but his vision.
reminds me that of a old sonic fangame where you're forced in 1st person and you have to get to the giant ring at the end without dying a lot. It's only when the game shows the replay of every attempt you made on the level is when you're out of the perspective. It isn't as nauseating as this mod, but it could still throw you off.
It’s doable, just would be better to physically experience because then there’s actually autonomy of how you move your body. You can make anything that feels uncomfortable feel more manageable
for anyone i think this could still happen since sonic eyes and other senses might adapt to his constant movements and actions and will give him the better look or sense on his surroundings
You know, this would actually be playable if (Sonic in his world, and) the game has him ‘blink’ at specific moments. Causing him to only see what’s in front of him when he’s facing forward (albeit in a strobe light like manner). Also, for the tricks portion, he’d just need to keep orientating his head/eyes towards his target/landing zone. Much like a gymnast or figure skater. Idk, with his athleticism, super fast reflexes, and instinctual calculations, I’d say it’s not unreasonable for him to do this stuff without ‘getting dizzy’ or losing track of where he’s going. All it would take is mastering the technique of adjusting when he blinks (to the rpm’s of his spins) to allow him to see. And the good news is, when he’s in a ball, he’s nearly invulnerable. Far safer than when he’s just running.
this is so cool actually. the fact that sonic's able to jump like that and see what's ahead of him as well as not instantly vomit on the spot is remarkable
After seeing this, im beginning to realize that the reason Sonic is always spinning all the time is probably so he can see and react to his surroundings constantly instead of just looking ahead.
