      Miguel Ircontar it’s a sweet looking ride. I’m seriously considering this exact trim/model myself. I’m tired of dropping $500-600.00 into my 11yo Dodge Caliber every few months to keep it running.

    If you're looking for a power house, this Altima is not the car for you but it dose have plenty of power for the average customer to commute and passing on the freeway. This baby save gas, ride smooth, handle good and seating is very comfy and have all the latest technology most buyer want. How do I know all of these? Well, I know I own a 2019 Altima SV AWD so yeah, it's a good car and looks even better.

      Don't worry and don't listen to CVT bashing out there. I have driven and own CVT tranny on my 2014 Honda Accord, 2016 Honda HR-V and 2019 Nissan Altima and they all function great no issues. In fact, after owning a CVT, I dislike going back driving the regular step automatic. I hate the feels of noticing the tranny shift, especial going over hill or inclined road. With the CVT tranny. even with my 1.8L on the HR-V where the RPM just rev up and pull strong going up the hill not having to hear the transmission shift up and down. Honestly, I don't miss the old traditional automatic, especially with 4 cylinder cars. Best of all, it save you $$ on fuel using CVT.

    • @tousshong9438
      @tousshong9438 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't worry CVT vehicles are great. I have own CVT cars for the last 5 years and it's no issue. In fact, I like it more then the traditional automatic where you don"t notice the constant shifting back and forth when the car goes over hilly areas. The motor just rev up to the sweet power band and stay there and pulling you strong thru the hill and/incline. I never miss the step automatic.

    You state that you are going to do a paddle shifter test, and have the ideal camera position to see the shifters and the road.
    Then, @3:06, when you do the test, you have the camera on your face.
    Why would you think that it is more important for us to look at your face, when shifting the paddles, as compared to watching your fingers shift the paddles, during the paddle shifter test?
    You were shifting the paddles, and chose to not let us see you shifting the paddles. What gives?

    Very nice review! I have a 2020 SR 2.5L in the FWD version but mine does not have the electronic parking brake that you showed in your review car - is that an option only on the AWD version? A couple of other questions for you: (1) What is a good work-around to adding a CD player to this vehicle since it does not come with one. I'm a little old school and have an extensive CD collection that I would like to play in my car. (2) Can a rear lip spoiler be added to this SR model like some of the ones shown that has this already installed? This has been a good ride so far. Thanks my friend!

    That’s a good looking car! I wonder what the performance market is going to look like... with the all wheel drive (and no available turbo) it’s just begging for an aftermarket power add. Maybe Nissan has a trick up their sleeve and will offer an AWD turbo to compete with Subaru WRX STI and the Civic Type R?

    • @tousshong9438
      @tousshong9438 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, it depends on your needs? If you like to sit high then Mazda 3 is a good little SUV but it lack utility and roominess. The Altima AWD on the other hand ,has better fuel economy but sit like regular sedan and has lower ground clearance.

  • @molin2
    @molin2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Great review, however, Nissan reliability has really gone down in the last decade. For example, the 2013-2016 Altima is known for high amount of CVT failures, see the Altima CVT settlement at www.altimacvtsettlement.com. The Maxima and Sentra also have high rate of failures. The CVT costs range from $4-7k to replace.
    I would never buy a Nissan again as the quality has gone down and the reliability is low in comparison to other brands.

    • @tousshong9438
      @tousshong9438 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, it depends where you live? If you're encounter snows, rains and or ice occasionally, I will pick the AWD of power because on normal driving you don't really needs all the power while the none turbo does a great job on normal driving. I have own a 2015 Accord V6 and it has plenty power and I don't seems to use all that power so I decided to sell it and get the 2019 Altima SV AWD...I'm happy for the switch. I don't beat on my car because it's a V6 so under normal driving condition, the 4 banger will be more then adequate to pull you and your family from A to Z.

      @NissanAltimaGuy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Lol no...I used to be a Nissan hater too, But however love my 16’ Altima. 46k miles no issues just one dead battery. As far as the Cvt goes I’ve driven many of vehicles with many different transmissions. 4spd(GM) 6spd (GM&Fords) 7 spd (18 Gle)8spd (Jeep & Dodge & GMC) 9 Spd (18’ traverse, 19 E-C class, Gls) So I’m not hater towards really any brand. I will say though what I love about my cvt like 9 speeds is there’s really no “Bad Gear” or “Gear hunting.” Simply put your foot in one place and you actually feel like you’re getting what your asking for. Rather it be economical, or sporty driving. I think in 13’ they started mimicking shifts. During very light acceleration (2300rpm or less) its a traditional cvt. Anything after that it’ll mimic gears which I find give you the power your asking for. I hope it stays reliable, but honestly all brands are putting forth equivalent efforts these days. I think if you take care of anything it’ll last nowadays.
