      Russ Grebenc I just bought the SR on Tuesday and after the last few days of driving it I didn’t really like the ride quality either I should’ve just bought the S trim because that one road a lot better. More meat on those tires. I may take it back and switch if they can do it

    I know this is late in the game, but I have the SV and honestly you hit the nail on the head with it. I LOVE my car and I still wouldn't trade it in for some of these other sedans in its class, but yeah, it is lacking a bit in some areas. BTW, that dark grey is where it's at when it comes to color choice. It looks amazing with the floating roof design.

    Very complete and thorough video of the 2019 Altima SV. We just bought one and agree with your assessment. And this car has plenty of power for the average driver. Your video helped me fully understand all of the features. So far we love this car. I am just getting use to the Pro Assist features during driving. I love the auto braking for safety reasons . You didn't mention the auto dimming headlights. That is one of my favorite things about this model. I hate the dimmer with the directional control. I like both hands on the steering wheel, especially at night. I do miss the 360 view. I had it on the Rogue SV model I traded in.

    I got the 2019 S FWD, and it's been a winner so far. It's had it's glitches (failed door lock control and the ongoing Android Auto debacle, get an extended warranty) but I have since taken it on a cross country trip and it has given no trouble, outside of a flat tire from collecting a bolt. It was a former rental car, so it's got 35K miles on the odo, so I was a bit hesitant. But it's shown to me it's a champ. It's got nearly 48K on it.
    The mileage, I racked up about 515 miles to a tank, which computed to around 42MPG cross-country. In the city driving, that dips way down to around 23-25MPG. This is computed by the onboard system with the trip, average mileage and average speed reset with each fill up.

    Good balanced review. Bought the 2019 SV last week. The CVT vs Auto debate is becoming irritating. I had both and the efficiency you get with CVT makes it an obvious choice. And it is always knocked compared to the best auto (which requires 9 gears to even get close) that is heavy and more expensive- but the average auto is far from perfect in traffic. And paddles are interesting not useful.
    What should be noted is that it doesn’t need the abomination of stop/start tech to pass the efficiency tests.

    It interesting to hear that you like the Nissan CVT cuz most people including myself find their CVT to lacking behind HONDA and TOYOTA. Maybe the 2019 has made some changes but their previous CVT weren't that impressive. This model years looks pretty good though, I must admit. Plus it comes with AWD so it may sell more due to that alone.

    • @sweetnsouthern1984
      @sweetnsouthern1984 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had a 2013 Camry SE but I was hit and was totaled so I had to look for another car. I test drove new Camry, Avalon, Altima and a few Volkswagen. I hated the brakes, acceleration, stiff seats and lack of features that Toyota doesn’t offer in comparison to my new Nissan Altima AWD and for the price it’s the best bang for your buck. I’ll see if Toyota makes and improvements in 3 years when my lease is up and need to look for another car until then I’m very happy with my Altima.

    I have the 2019 Altima for a little over 3 years . The blue color is very nice but wish I spent the extra money for the SV model and got the alloy wheels. Although the interior looks nice I feel Nissan cut corners and used cheap plastic materials on the dash and doors. Once in awhile I do hear a chattering noice coming from under the drivers side dash . (Not sure if it’s the car or something loose in the dash)
    I do however like the exterior design and the front grill. The touchscreen is easy to use a despite the 2.5 liter engine the car does accelerate wheel when getting on the highway. Currently the car has only 30k miles and so far no issues.
