This is brilliant! I’ve just been offered a place to study midwifery in 2021! Just got to finish my access course! Your videos are making me so excited because you’re so enthusiastic ☺️
Thank you so much for your videos, I start first year next month and these are so helpful 🙏🏼 do you need to take spare uniform in case of ‘accidents’ ? ☺️ xx
Hi again! Sorry I’ve only just seen your comment! I used to take a spare uniform, but to be honest I’ve been quite lucky in that I’ve only needed to change uniform once🙈and I just put some scrubs on for that. It saves you carrying extra uniform in your bag :) xx
Oh wow aha! I never thought of bra and pants as well! So is it mainly for delivery areas where you need the extra clothes just incase, or do you recommend bringing the extra bits for other areas of placement too? X
@@elliesjourneytomidwifery6142 i take them everywhere, you never know when a woman’s waters may break on you 😉 also, if she’s pushing and her membranes are still intact, stand to the side, just in case 😂 xx
Thank you so much! I’ve had a look and it seems they no longer sell this style which is such a shame as it looks very practical. Do you have any other recommendations? I’m due to start University in September so trying to get organised xx
@@MillieJ21 to be honest I now use my uni backpack for my placement bag as I'm finding it more practical - it's the nordace siena smart backpack. It is pricey, but it has some really cool features and it's a better size than the cath kidston one xx
Ohhh I hadn’t heard of this brand before. Just had a look and I love the dark green colour they do! Do you use it for both university and placement? Maybe you could do an updated video, I’d love to see your bag and what it can store. Thank you xx
@@MillieJ21 hey, yeah they have some nice colours don't they! And yeah I use it for both uni and placement (although there hasn't been much in-person uni stuff this year anyway, so I didn't have much use of it before I started having it for placement) and yeah I think I'll do another updated version of this video when I'm back on placement again in a few weeks. Only thing is that it won't fit my placement shoes in, so I end up taking a cute bag (only the £1 patterned bags for life ones at some shops - like, the more sturdier bags for life) and use that to carry my uniform and shoes in, and the backpack for everything else. You might be able to fit everything in the backpack and not need another bag, but I find with everything I take its too much of a squeeze - especially because the casual clothes I change out of are things like thick jumpers and jeans because of how cold it is! Xx
I'm a first year student midwife and I loved watching this!! I love being organised too haha xx
Ah I'm so glad you enjoyed watching! Good luck with your course hun 😊xx

Hi. I’ve heard portable power banks are useful as well. Nice video btw.
Yes definitely! Especially if your phone loses battery quickly. And thank you😊
I love that bag! Do you know what it is called as I can’t seem to find it on the Cath Kidston website xx
I found an old screenshot I have of it and it's called "double decker travel bag - grey". Hope this helps hun! Xx
