Howdy my lovely friends, hope you’re all doing well! This week, I am so excited to share my backpack and all of its contents :) I’ve been going to school for a while now (and I’ve still got a long way to go) but over the years, I’ve been refining the contents of my bag and paring it down to my absolute essentials. From my charger wire case to my essentials pouch, I hope this gives you some inspo for your own backpack! What do you look at in behavioural studies? I’m studying occupational therapy and have done lots of support work but haven’t seen behavioural science in combination, sounds interesting!
I absolutely love seeing medical staff express themselves, whether in funky socks, crocks, or stickers. If a patient judges you, they don’t know you or how stressful the system is, so they don’t matter 😇 . By all means, slay your sticker era😊

not a med student, just a frequent patient, but i personally love when medical people show some personality!! it's often the ones who are most strict on appearing professional who are rude or dismissing of my experiences, often because of my pronouns, gender presentation, or style of dress. unfortunately part of being a disabled fem nb :/. but really the thing with strict professionalism is those people tend to have the biggest superiority complex over their patients, thinking they know better than someone with a condition who's had it for their whole life. wearing cute stuff or showing that they're people, not just their job, is usually an indicator that they're more chill about stuff like asking the patient for information on the condition if they don't know something.
i love how you include useful, but still cute items!! i found this way more helpful than all the trendy school supply videos 🥲
im a psychology undergrad and i love watching your videos learning about some of the different things in med school its so interesting! i have loved getting to know you through your videos and your tips and advice about school really helps thank you sab :)

Hey I love your casual style of your content! :) I went to check out the backpack you have at the Lululemon store yesterday but did not get it yet. I am just wondering since the straps are not padded do you find it comfortable when carrying heavy loads, like iPad, MacBook and other stuff?

Yes it does 😭 especially if I have my keyboard case on my iPad, it can honestly get quite heavy but I use both so often that I just deal with the weight hehe

This is pretty much what I kept in my backpack for vet tech school nearly a decade ago and everyone made fun of me and called me a mom.
however, instead of deoderant, i carried a mini dry shampoo by bumble and bumble.
I just used Burt’s Bees scented face-wipes on my armpits if I got stinky.
