Wow 😮 I was sitting directly behind Matty on this flight 😆. I’m a very small lady and never expected to be on a points guy run There’s the briefest flash of my little blonde head 😂. Hope you guys enjoyed a nice supper before you left Paris 🎉
I have to agree with others in the comments, there is literally a direct connection on the RER between CDG and the Olympic Stadium; Matty would have been better off being guided toward taking the RER train. Nonetheless another stellar video lads and I love the addition of Matty.
Actually from Orly Airport you now (since a 1-2 months) a direct Metro Line (Line 14) going through the city to the Stade de France. It takes an hour and might be quicker then by taxi :)
BEWARE of cab ripoffs if you are traveling by plane to Paris CDG or Paris Orly!! The fares to Paris and the suburbs are fixed BY LAW, but taxis often make you pay by the meter when there is traffic as they stand to gain a lot - as is the case for the cab Matty took. Stand your ground and ask to pay the fixed price!! Parisian taxis are unfortunately well known for ripping off confused tourists..
Omg it's Matty!! Kinda sure it was him from the thumbnail and he is!! And look how happy he is to not jump and get a headstart!! When he says "idiot", I can sense his witty self right 😂😂😂 BRING MATTY BACK!!
Liam you are lucky to not have control in Paris beacause you bought a ticket T+ which is not allowed in RER outside of Paris. Many tourists are making this mistake and if you have a control… you have a ticket !
Even if flying in combination with public transport instead of a taxi might be faster than the train, Eurostar Standard Premier is by far the most comfortable option. If you book ahead of time, you will also get much cheaper fares.
Eurostar is amazing and it would also be the most wheelchair friendly option (I am a wheelchair user and with much prefer Eurostar over the stress of flying)
It's not because it's a monopoly actually, it's because jet fuel isn't taxed and airlines get massive subsidies (which are taxpayer funded) and Eurostar do not. Plane flights are cheap because they are MASSIVELY subsidised. If you want cheaper rail travel you'll have to vote for it.
Just a note on the RER and Metro tickets - RATP have effectively outmoded paper tickets, and they now use smart-cards that have replaced the paper tickets and are sold on the Eurostar
Hey guys, I really love your videos. Could you maybe do once a race train/plane Freiburg-Hamburg? Would be so nice and I’m sure you will also enjoy that race. Max.
i have a question. What camera tripod mount do you use for the window camera, I have been looking for one but can't seem to find one. I want those timelapses but I dont know a good mounting system
Hey, you guys should really review the New Delhi to Leh flight, the view is breathtaking or the New Delhi to Kathmandu one. Flying over the Mt. Everest! Both are amazing
If you add up Matty's (15:15) or Nicky's (15:49) segment times, they come out to be less than Liam's (14:56). Presumably this is because they don't include the time spent in getting to the station/airport early and going through security, since personal preferences can affect this. Still, the total journey time should be listed as well.
Why is there the logo of the German Olympic team („Team D“) on the cheesecake in the Eurostar? I mean I like it, but on the route between London and Paris … I hope it’s a good sign 😄🇩🇪
RER B - the absolute shithole of a discount Thameslink. It's always squeaky bum time when you have to get from St Denis to Gare Du Nord to then get to CDG to barely catch your flight. Eurostar business premiere all the way, given how impressive the cocktail lounge is at GDN. Also, it's very rough around the 92nd at the wrong time of day.
9:31 As the Stade de France is outside Paris, the t+ ticket doesn’t work to go there by rer (as it is written on it just right of rer : dans paris/in paris)
Because the points guy channel are now merged. The original TPG was American, then they expanded into UK, making Nicky the TPG (UK version), so in the past they have 2 different TH-cam channels. But now they integrate, so the UK become departures, and the US become destination (?), and since the TPG are US-based as well so it made sense to put dollars in this video, as many Americans might watch this as well!
Careful, T+ tickets are not valid on the RER outside of Paris and you could get a fine for the journey between Gare du Nord and La Plaine with this ticket
I see, I questioned why Matty got a photocard Oyster, and I looked it up on Internet, and there's no category that he fell into. Turns out he got a free card as GB athlete!!
Absolutely brilliant. Great idea to bring guest Gold medallists to the race!
It was a nice touch. 💜

Nicky's cab being more expensive than his flight 😂
Hate to be that guy but Nicky's flight was effectively the same cost as his cab, and was actually about 13 cents less than the flight.
Just like every plane landing in stansted ever. Stansted to London is way more expensive :)
Matty surely would have been better off getting the RER from CDG to the stadium
that what I was thinking would have saved him so much time not dealing with traffic
Liam delighted to announce that his Eurostar train as taking off on time lol
Matty is a great addition!
He's hot as hell!
Bring Matty back! He is fabulous, great vid as always guys. 🇦🇺

Matty thinking he gonna go posh flying BA business not knowing it's just a normal economy seat with a blocked middle one 😂😂😂 AMAZING VID AS ALWAYS

I think it is 50 minutes, and "only" 10,30 euros (about 11$)
@@LinkRCS22 Orlyval + RER B would still likely be quicker
@TravelSignal by minutes, if its all on time... and its €7 more expensive lol. Like 14 is the better option.
@@cleo5610 fair enough 👍
@@TravelSignalorlyval will stop service soon
Another race video yes. Awesome Nicky and Liam😊
Love it - WE NEED MORE RACES
Well done guys! So great to see that Eurostar won, helps that it gets you right into the heart of the city and the food looked brilliant🎬👏
BEWARE of cab ripoffs if you are traveling by plane to Paris CDG or Paris Orly!!

omg matty such a good addition to the video ❤
Why don’t you take the metro (Line 14) at Orly airport ? It’s a direct line to stade de France. It’s obviously faster and cheaper than taxi.
Hahahaha Matty ducking out at first was hilarious!
Omg it's Matty!! Kinda sure it was him from the thumbnail and he is!! And look how happy he is to not jump and get a headstart!! When he says "idiot", I can sense his witty self right 😂😂😂
BRING MATTY BACK!!

There were such wholesome vibes from this video. You guys have been knocking it out of the park recently. Great Job guys :)
Such an underrated channel.👍👍👍Keep it up.
Great video as usual
Think it’s time for a surprise selection of destination and see who can get there 1st without planning
A true competitor!! he aint jumping in no pool LMAO
Yes and when he happily declared "idiots", I laughed 🤣
More races please. Love watching your vids. ❤
I'm french and i'm sure that the price of the metro ticket is not 2 euros but 4. Nice video guys!
Why did the BA-CDG guy take a taxi? RER B goes past Stade de France!
He probably didn't know.
Fantastic thought Matty was going to win and Liam last with Nicky in the middle 😂 well done Liam loved that
What fun!! Loved this video!
Thanks guys. Another outstanding video trip. #SimplyTheBest
Just love the races especially when you have a guest, more please.
Brilliant video guys 👍
Extremely cute! So entertaining, and actually informative.
Since last June you can take the direct RER line 14 from Orly Airport to Stade de France in 55 minutes.
Nicely done Liam!
Such fun to watch
Nicky and Liam both sporting Kodak T-shirts, that's a throwback to older Olympic Games
Even if flying in combination with public transport instead of a taxi might be faster than the train, Eurostar Standard Premier is by far the most comfortable option. If you book ahead of time, you will also get much cheaper fares.
Liam and pluffy pillow are inseparable now 😂
Очень рада увидеть Мэтти ! Его борода впечатляет ! Обожаю этого симпатичного мальчика !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was great!
Nice one guys 🏆
Good video. And what a beautiful London pool building.
Nice video and idea.
Also 2nd!
Never seen anyone call Eurostar Standard Premier meals generous before, I've always considered them a snack!
9:10 that‘s the logo of the German olympic team 🇩🇪
War auch erstaunt!
Vermutlich waren die DBB-Teams im Zug 😊
Nicky, should have experience new line 14. Much faster than CAB to Stade de France !
Awesome !!!
Should've used metro line 14 from Orly to Stade de France ! The metro extension just opened a few weeks ago, it's much faster !
Love love this video.
Eurostar is amazing and it would also be the most wheelchair friendly option (I am a wheelchair user and with much prefer Eurostar over the stress of flying)
Good luck Nicky and Liam in the 100m walk.
Super les mecs j’ai adoré votre vidéo.
Team Liam here 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I was like is this Matty the diver, when I saw the photo
Isnt the metro faster from Orly, cant you take Line 14 directly to the SDF? Its cheaper and faster than the taxi no?
Wow. 16 minutes before boarding and you didn't miss your flight!
Those RER paper tickets haven't changed in decades
Since last June you no longer need a paper ticket. If you have an iPhone you can just purchase your ticket in the Apple wallet.
Vueling really has good deals an in my opinion is a very good Budget Airline but still on time, mostly clean and friendly crew
Matty is pretty good and entertaining
You could have done high speed to St Pancras then Thameslink to Gatwick
Liam getting excited about buying a metro ticket on the Eurostar - when you can now use your phone anyway.
Can you explain further why it is better to tap in than buying ticket online when using the high speed train.
How on earth can something like this be that close, it is made to look like its a matter of seconds, or one or 2 minutes at most
Wait Wut I love your plane vs train videos but plane vs train vs another plane
Wow Eurostar is insanely expensive, it should be cheaper than flying, but they horribly abuse their monopoly on that line.

Nicky in the cheap seats two weeks in a row! 😂
And we love this 😂
So much fun!,
Liam FTW
true competitors!!
TRAIN GANF WIN RAAAAHHHH
Team Liam! 🎉🎉🎉

Enjoyed the video nice to an area i have visited the the part filemed at Straford where I work
i have a question. What camera tripod mount do you use for the window camera, I have been looking for one but can't seem to find one. I want those timelapses but I dont know a good mounting system

Hey! Is there some sort of Kodak sponsorship going on here? Nicky and Liam both wearing Kodak T-shirts
Unless you have a lot of luggage, there’s no reason to take a taxi to/from the airport in Paris.
Always a train, no brainer
I'd have loved to seen road transport in this as well, for the distance the car wouldn't be fair off
If you add up Matty's (15:15) or Nicky's (15:49) segment times, they come out to be less than Liam's (14:56). It's funny that the logo of the German Olympic team was on cake in the Eurostar 😂
Always liked Liam. Now i know why. COYI.

If you have train going all the way near to the stadium then obviously , that'll be the winner over other forms of transportation.
9:31 As the Stade de France is outside Paris, the t+ ticket doesn’t work to go there by rer (as it is written on it just right of rer : dans paris/in paris)
A390 seems like a nice plane 🤣🤣
It got three floors 😂 instead of double Decker it's now triple decker
@@justmeajah Yeah 🤣
Love your videos. I have to ask though - why was the total price in dollars when you are English?
Because the points guy channel are now merged. The original TPG was American, then they expanded into UK, making Nicky the TPG (UK version), so in the past they have 2 different TH-cam channels. But now they integrate, so the UK become departures, and the US become destination (?), and since the TPG are US-based as well so it made sense to put dollars in this video, as many Americans might watch this as well!
Why was the cake at 09:10 labeled with the team Germany logo on the eurostar?
Love these races but can you let us know the winning margins? Eg here, did the winner win by 2 minutes or an hour? Thanks!
They'll usually mention that but not this video
Team Liam 💪💪💪😁😁😁
Lmao Looks like good fun
Careful, T+ tickets are not valid on the RER outside of Paris and you could get a fine for the journey between Gare du Nord and La Plaine with this ticket
guys watch this in 2x speed its real funny hahahaha 😂😂
How the hell was the taxi cheaper from Orly rather than from CDG which is so much closer to Stade de France? ?
IRONS⚒️⚒️
The Olympics start tomorrow! 😀
I see, I questioned why Matty got a photocard Oyster, and I looked it up on Internet, and there's no category that he fell into. Turns out he got a free card as GB athlete!!
