      @Sultan Mahmood: How many comments have you written so far? How many of them are relevant? Please delete all the irrelevant comments.
      According to you, Mr. Modi is a mass murderer. How many murders has he committed? Do you know that in April 2012, the Supreme Court-appointed special investigation team (SID) said that it had not found any evidence for prosecuting Mr. Modi?
      Did you ever describe General Yahya Khan as a mass murderer? How many people did he get murdered in 1971?
      You have condemned Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, a well-known Islamic scholar. Who are your favorite Islamic scholars?

      @Shakil Chaudhary Thank you for your reply` I acknowledge your contributions, which you may think in your wisdom based on the 200 hundred yours of colonial secular indoctrinated background which you find yourself, Sadly your wrongly directed trajectory wits have nothing to do with human beings divine natural reality and/or your communities presuppositions of your media's breathless machine targeting and hoping to rectify human society for the sake of betterment, from your secular dim perspective. Why, why is this so much fun? There are so many Pakistani references I don't even get completely but still I am as if addicted to this channel.
    This is my current favourite TH-cam channel.
    I couldn't find a similar podcast of Indian origin. They are either too satirical, too comical or ideologically blind. So I watch this and draw parallels as issues are more or less same. So along with fun, it's also a learning.
    Btw I have asked this before also, does anyone know similar type Indian podcasts? Please reply with a comment.
    But even if there was, I would actually still watch this. Shehzad is such a charming host. ❤️

    This was an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. I also noted the book references for further research.
    I'm generally ignorant about economics, but I was triggered by Shahram's repeated reference to "decisions about surplus." My interest lies in philosophy and cultural worldviews, and how these shape a society. Of course power and money play a significant role here, and even more so in an age where intellectual and cultural elites that rise above material influences are destroyed, and where materialistic distractions and temptations are multiplied, and general moral training is absent. I believe that a society requires surplus wealth to develop an intellectual class, and that this is the most important development required for a healthy society. The concept of patronage and waqf was an important feature of premodern cultural education. Shahram’s comment reminded me of the following words from an important official document of the British colonial authority in India. It is part of a report from 1807, and it should alert us about the source of intellectual and cultural decay in our society and its remedy.
    “It is very proper, that in England, a good share of the produce of the earth should be appropriated to support certain families in affluence, to produce senators, sages, and heroes for the service and defense of the state, or, in other words, that a great part of the rent should go to opulent nobility and gentry, who are to serve their country in Parliament, in the army and navy, in the departments of science and liberal professions. The leisure, independence, and high ideals, which the enjoyment of this rent affords, has enabled them to raise Britain to pinnacles of glory. Long may they enjoy it; - but in India, that haughty spirit, independence, and deep thought, which the possession of great wealth sometimes gives, ought to be suppressed. They are directly averse to our power and interest... We do not want generals, statesmen, and legislators; we want industrious husbandmen.”
    - William Thackeray (civil servant, judge and translator), in report on Malabar, Canara, and the Ceded Districts (Aug 4, 1807) for the Governor of Madras, Lord William Bentinck (who would later, as Governor-General of India, appoint Macaulay to settle the education debate)

    • @jehanzebz
      @jehanzebz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePakistanExperience The quote is basically saying that extra wealth allows a nation to support cultural and intellectual development by financing certain people who don't have to worry about their income, but will focus on their intellectual activity or some other skill. In relation to India, it is saying that Indians should not have extra wealth and they should always be kept in a state where they are focused on basic needs, so they have no space for development beyond material needs. This will make them useful labouring slaves for the empire.

    • @jehanzebz
      @jehanzebz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePakistanExperience I was actually supporting Shahram's statement. May be you misunderstood me. Shahram pointed out the importance of who makes decisions about surplus, and I'm also showing that the British understood the iportance of surplus on a national scale, and deprived India of those resources. In fact, the cultural and educational support given by the British was to implant a foreigh and superficial culture on Indians, and this produced a schizophrenic mentality.

    One of my favorite quotes about identity politics is from Civil RIghts Veteran, Marixst, Feminist leader Angela Davis:
    _"I have a hard time accepting diversity as a synonym for justice. Diversity is a corporate strategy. It’s a strategy designed to ensure that the institution functions in the same way that it functioned before, except now that you now have some black faces and brown faces. It’s a difference that doesn’t make a difference"._

      I think that's not what he meant, his analysis(or rather I should say fear) is that western media manipulates in the garb of being independent and unbiased whereas they are privately owned propaganda machines and their HISTORY confirms their mischievous exaggeration of the facts to create political space for their state to exploit the parts of the third world. This has continuously happed and could happen.

    As for Uyghurs, the question is of the reliability of evidence. I am no expert, but evidence can take several forms, including media(photos, videos), testimony(interviews), written evidence(letters), etc. As for Kashmir, Palestine etc the evidence is clear, we can see videos of army men attacking innocent civillians, whereas this has not been seen for China. The interview testimonies, although convincing, have been linked to american based NED, which suggests that they are just paid actors(as Taimur said one woman changes her story every time she's interviewed). Now whether or not this extends to all interviewees is up to question. However, the fact that there has been nothing but interview testimonies, makes the case for a serious situation in Xinjiang less likely to be true. With Kashmir and palestine, it is clear what is happening and who is in the wrong (eg. IDF planes bombing apartment buildings, Indian soldiers beating up youths in the middle of the street), but this is not the case for Uyghurs.

    Haven't watch d the full podcast but dont be so pius Khan said the right thing that is what a man is. God hides our sins doesn't means you guys are angels. We are all equal some are more equal than others thats it. Remember the amount of lust passed through your mind untill now and be humble. Koi pata ni kis k raaz kb Allah duniya k saamny khol k rakh dy

      I live in the west and the society here is equally destroyed morally as in Pakistan but in some aspects we are worse and that is true.

    Watching this episode was super fun . When I listen to Marxist lecturer in countries where Marxism has not come to power and I see them talking about freedom , empathy , liberation , logic etc , i feel like becoming an Marxist . But when I see countries where Marxist’s have come to power , I see a very different Marxism whose deeds are similar to fascists ! Very informative podcasts 💚!!

    It's a completely one sided show. One at least should invite two different ideologies for a constructive debate instead of badmouthing about people or ideologies without even listening them. Only then viewers can decide which one of it was more realistic and reasonable.
