2012 Dodge Grand Caravan cranks but won't start. Fuel pump relay.

Engine would crank over, run for 5 seconds and die. Then wouldn't start at all. Made sure it was fuel pump problem by putting gas into throttle body port. Then it started. These vehicles tend to have bad fuel pump relays that are built into the board and very expensive to repair. Bought TIPM bypass cable on Amazon to bypass the relay. Solved the problem. Fuse #25 and fuse #7. Both yellow 20 amp fuses. Take those out and replace with cable. Put 2 fuses in each end of the cable.

Bro, I heard that it is not recommended to leave it permanently. What is your opinion on that? I have the same problem and going to do the same but worried if it’s going to give any other issues in long run. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

So far so good. My next step is to replace the fuel pump that also has the fuel filter and regulator built in. There is another video on soldering a connector so the new relay can be plugged in.
