It took me a month to toughen up my feet in proper walking shoes. Started with 1.5 miles now 3 miles one hour daily morning adding in another evening 3 miles often. 63 year old woman 👵
That's fantastic! It's impressive how you've gradually built up your stamina and distance. Consistency is key, and it sounds like you're doing an amazing job. Keep it up!
You look great! I think you look like Princess Kate! Thank you for your channel!
Oh my goodness thank you!
@@5050DishGal Omgosh, one hundreddddd percent!!!! She is her twinnn!
Such a happy spirit love that for you, I recently starting going to the gym and all I do is walk on the treadmill. I was surprised for the first time when I burned 964 calories within an hr. I walked a lot at my job so on my days off I like to keep things moving. I’m going to hide my scale from myself because I have a love hate relationship with it
Love that energy! 🙌 Walking is such a great, low-impact way to stay active, and burning 964 calories in an hour is no joke-way to go! It’s awesome that you're keeping things moving even on your days off. You've got the right mindset, and the results will follow!
I walked for many years and loved it but now I’m dealing with bad knees and the last time I walked for 15 minutes I was in incredible pain for the next 8 hours. I just got a 3rd dose of cortisone in both knees last week and I go next week for my 2nd gel injections. I’m hoping and praying this will allow me to walk & move my body. I miss it to my core. It does so much for me mentally and physically. Another great video. ❤ It just hammers home how desperately I want to move!!!
Suggestion: I recently went to a podiatrist. She told me I had flat feet. She recommended Superfeet insoles, copper color first (Amazon). I don't have the pain in my knee anymore.
I am sorry to hear you are dealing with pain!
Have you tried supplementing/incorporating collagen into your diet? There’s an older woman on YT who does a 1, 2, and 3 year update on how incorporating collagen has changed her life in terms of recovering from exercise

Great video - and you look like Princess Catherine!
I feel the same about looking forward to my daily walks.
Best feeling ever!
I really appreciate your videos! I’ve been increasing my steps and on days I don’t feel like doing anything I hear your voice saying “I’ve got goals!” And I get to it. Thank you for your videos and encouragement.
That is amazing!
I love walking as well. I also bought the weighted vest and it is a game changer. As much as I love walking outside I live in Houston where summer temps are over 100 consistently for months. Because I know the heat is coming fast I decided to buy a treadmill which is being delivered today. I don’t want to give up my walking once the heat and humidity kick in full force so I’m getting ready. I also manage to get about 15000 steps a day. When I don’t hit at least 12000 I’m disappointed in myself so it is definitely a goal. I really love your channel and am so inspired by you.
So happy to have you here!
Add coconut oil to your diet!
You are such an inspiration to me!!! I have some soul searching to find my "thing" that I am passionate about to do every day.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that I can inspire you. Finding your passion is such an exciting journey. Remember, it’s all about exploring different interests and seeing what resonates with you. You’ve got this! ~Liz
Love this! I always thought I had to be doing high intensity cardio and I never liked it. I love my daily walks.
Walks are amazing!
I'm new to your channel, and I find your upbeat personality and simplicity very inspiring! I would not have made the life change to WFPB eating without Dr. McDougall's simplicity in Starch Solution as it all seemed overwhelming at first, may he rest in peace. As a minimalist, I like that your channel is simple and straightforward, and you are always smiling!
McDougall and Starch Solution changed me life and I will forever be grateful! Thanks for being here!
I agree 100%! I always follow my strength training workout with an hour walk. It makes a huge difference for me.
Yes definitely!
Thanks, this was really helpful. Thanks babe, this was really motivating. ❤ I really love walking. I used to walk 5 miles a day and I was in great shape and I want to do this again. I walk a ton at work as a nurse but I need to do it on my days off. I need to add to my “non-negotiables” ❤
You're welcome! It's great to hear that you found this motivating. Walking is such a powerful way to stay in shape, and it sounds like you're ready to make it a priority again. Adding it to your "non-negotiables" is a fantastic idea. You've got this! Keep moving forward, and you'll be back to those 5 miles a day in no time.
I love walking and hiking 😊 BUT, I absolutely cannot listen to anything while out and about. I usually turn my phone ringer off, too - the exception is when I know I'm expecting a call that can't wait. (rare)
REBOUNDING is what pumps me full of energy, though. I'm on a fitness plan of Sun-Tue-Thu strength training and Mon-Wed-Fri cardio ... rebounding is my cardio. I'll do various things on the rebounder in a circuit for 40 minutes. I always have to shower afterwards because of sweating.
Even though walking is cardio, it does not get my heart pumping much, and because of neurological issues I cannot walk safely past 3 miles an hour, so I don't count it as cardio. My hikes are usually pretty intense and count as cardio and strength, but I consider them a bonus since I only go hiking a few times a month. I'd love to do more, but I have to drive a half hour each way and I'm usually not able to drive that far without compromising the remainder of the day (it's too mentally exhausting for me).
❤❤
Ok - time for rebounding!
Way to go!
Good morning! I love this channel!
Thank you for your support!
I love walks too, I also just ordered the weighted vest from the same company that your vest is. I got a different version, the woman's vest. I got the 10# and boy, is it an added workout. I agree, it's a reminder of the 10# I LOST and now I am ADDING it to work out! Go figure. But I love the way my body feels when I wear it. I look forward to my walks everyday now and I love how you have been a "cheerleader" for consistency. I appreciate your videos. Thank you.
This is amazing! Great work!!
I walk over 4 miles a day every single day I live in the Caribbean so the weather most times is not an issue. I have lost 15lbs in 4 months but I have not lost any weight in May to my annoyance.
You got this! You have all my support.

Thank you for the great info. Can you get the same results from a treadmill? Unable to walk outside.
Yes, get those steps in!
Have you done a video specifically about your weighted vest and the benefits when yoi implemented that? Just curious!
I did recently, check out this video th-cam.com/video/vYEg4wYI7ms/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vObPdePdLBpK3K_I
