- I'm sharing all my reasons for choosing light-colored Karndean vinyl wood plank flooring for the entire main floor of our house.

I have watched this video so many times! I love the Texas White Ash so much, it looks lovely in your home. Have you noticed any improvements on floor insulation/heating costs since you installed the Korlok hybrid floor?
Hi Nicole, we still love the floor too. It is much quieter than the laminate that we had before but I didn't really notice any drastic heating cost improvements.
@@juliakonya7266 Thanks for your honest reply. One more question, I hope you don’t mind. Does dirt get noticeably stuck in the surface “embossing/wood grain”? I’m worried I’ll be on my hands and knees with a toothbrush all the time, or if perhaps I should choose a slightly darker floor!
@@Juicy10000 It does get into the embossed surface but the floor doesn't look dirty. I usually use a swiffer wet cleaner to clean the floor

No specific reason, I just liked this one so much.
I need a new vinyl plank floor and i am searching for a uniform light maple color. The problem is that the manufacturers seem to think that everyone wants dark and light shades and in some cases even black shades or black spots.
These dark and light shades like on your floor are completrly and totally unacceptable to me. Had I had to use your floor, i would have either purchased twice as many pieces and thrown out all the darker shade ones or I would have put all the darker pieces on the outside perimeter of a room and then work the lighter pieces toward the center. But to have a random mix of dark and light looks like crap to me. I am sorry. It's not your fault. It is the fault of the tasteless companies who do that.
Well sorry, you can't find what you are looking for. I had the even light maple before this. A somewhat rustic look to the wood isn't for everyone but it doesn't mean it's wrong. To each their own. After all wood of a different species tend to have different grains and coloring.

It's holding up great and we still love it.
What is the light grey paint color
It is called Seashell Gray by Valspar.
Thanks for this video! We have ordered this floor in the Oyster oak color! I found your blog on Pinterest and Knew this was what I wanted in our home. At first we were set on Texas white ash but after seeing it in person and with the lighting in our home it was more pinkish... how is it holding up after a year of useage?
Also, how do you clean your floors? What products do you use?
Hi there, I still love mine so very much! Did you see my blog post where I was comparing their colors to mine? cuckoo4design.com/comparing-light-colored-wood-vinyl-plank-flooring-samples/ Unfortunately Oyster Oak isn't one of the colors. I don't think ours has a pinkish tint to it, especially when next to Pearl Oak and Vanilla Oak. It does definitely change in different lighting situations. Good luck!
Julia Konya yes I read ur your blog... that’s how I first found you. How do you clean your floors? Can you use a swiffer?
Sorry I just wasn't sure if you saw that particular one about the colors. I actually have a robot vac and then I just use a wet swiffer for the dirt that's still stuck to the floor.
