    for all who think this would not work in the streets never been in the streets or probably never brawled in their lives. Alot of this stuff was advanced for the taping of these courses back in early 90s and trust me alot of this stuff really works if you tweak it a bit to fit your own style today. This is really good stuff ....like everything ....its not perfect but for whats out there this is not bad !!

      It’s actually good training, plus it’s used by navy seals in dangerous missions.

    This material would work very well in a street fight. I’ve used some of it when I was young, I’m still alive today

    @27:57 It's interesting how many martial arts techniques overlap, or are the same. Like the title is Jeet kun do but this arm lock is actually a Ju Jitsu move called a Kimura, after the Jujitsu/Judo master Masahiku Kimura.

    Cucci now runs more with what is trending in the martial arts industry today that is MMA and BJJ/Gracie style which is smart that’s where the money is at but I know deep down he still has a wide and deep understanding of everything else such as JKD/FMA as seen here. Always wondered if he teaches it for private training.

    It's not going to matter how injured the enemy is once he's dead. And even if you're trying to take him alive you still don't have time to pussy foot around. Get it done.

    • @gravecrasher4305
      @gravecrasher4305 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Suburban Preparedness this is training not real combat this would be faster and yes it dies matter to injure them cause if you do it lowers the chance of them attacking you back and this is a defensive combat not offensive

  • @SuburbanPreparedness
    @SuburbanPreparedness 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    The instructor should've swept him at 27:12, but instead decides to dance with the enemy combatant instead. There is no time for this in a combat environment. You need to eliminate the threat quickly so his buddies don't kill you.

    • @gravecrasher4305
      @gravecrasher4305 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Suburban Preparedness he is not pussy footing he is moving to were he can knee him and sweep him for more damage infliction it would be a lot quicker but ass you can see it was in slow motion and this is hand to hand combat this is only used on one target this type of combat would not be used in a multi taking fight

    • @jackwilson6467
      @jackwilson6467 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You know Cucci is a combat vet and has a muay Thai and MMA record. He is certified under Paul Vunak and Dan Inosanto in JKD, and Chai Sirisute in Thai Boxing, not sure who his BJJ is from. He might know how to fight.

    • @uchim4ta633
      @uchim4ta633 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Patriot Preparedness that’s high quality Muay Thai right there. Notice the hip action for a more powerful knee strike. It also enables for a more powerful throw as demonstrated. Of course those are just options, he could have gone straight into the throw if he wanted to. All of this are demonstrations for option, a string of moves to follow up with should the previous attacks fail.

    All those combinations work great in videos like this, on mannequins or on sleeping people. In a real fight no one will stand there, gaurd down, while you reel off all these flappy moves

    • @gravecrasher4305
      @gravecrasher4305 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      louis dilloway this is a training video not a real fight they are not actually hitting each other if this was a real fight this would really hurt the opponent but this is a defensive combat training not offense

      It is a breathing technique as well as a technique to get more power out of your strikes by forcing air out of you diaphragm and causing your core to tighten, which then keeps you balanced and your strike to be rooted from your center not your arm or leg.

    • @gravecrasher4305
      @gravecrasher4305 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      And also it's not that simple just to go for the throat cause they are trained to block attacks like that there teaching you a form of defense not that stupid street fight were you just throw punches hoping to land a punch
