I hope one day, if these two don't make a film together on their own, I would LOVE for one if not BOTH of these two to produce and/or direct a YA post-apocalyptic dystopian novel trilogy I'm writing! I would want a director who has the talent to perfectly blend science fiction, visual spectacle, and scientific accuracy together and these two would be the right choice for me, especially Cameron, seeing what he has done with Avatar 1 & 2, and Terminator 1&2!

Spinge well... what makes guys like this great, and this goes for any successful filmmaker, is that what they do takes a lot of talent, imagination, but also leadership, courage, but above all what makes them great is that they had the balls and belief to follow their dreams, and they inspire others to do the same. Movies to me have always been more than a way to spend a few hours, and both Cameron and Spielberg have created moviegoing experiences that were simply incredible and overwhelming, and some of the most exciting events of my life. That's why I have huge respect and gratitude for guys like them, and there are many other directors in the same vein.

Spielberg finds a way to deflect the praise of him to other greats, then focuses it on his friend Kubrick, and transitions from that to the film they made together in order to satisfy the purpose of the interview. Humility in action.

I noticed that, too and I liked that he did that. That kind of humility that he has is really refreshing and I always make sure that I have that kind of humility, too. David Lean is the greatest director in my opinion.
Bridge on the River Kwai is so good, it doesn't look like it was released in 1957. Just magnificent.

I love the paradox that Kubrick can talk about space travel but won't get on a plane.

What I truly hope is that Spielberg recorded those conversations with Kubrick and one day, we'll get a transcription of them.

James Cameron and George Lucas, writes a screenplay and Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott, directes it. And Harrison ford, and Tom Hanks, stars in it.

When they are listing directors in the beginning and they mention "George Powell" who is that?
