Wow, that's the best underwater footage I've seen on any sailing channel! What equipment/cameras do you use? I love the scillies and have visited there on holiday often. I will sail there next year for sure!!!! Wonderful wonderful film. That seal encounter must have been amazing and scary in equal measure - they way it seemed to nibble your fins, but know not to bite your leg... wonderful wonderful stuff. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you very much! I mainly used an Olympus TG6 Tough in rockpools and with underwater housing whilst snorkeling/freediving. Also sometimes use my GoPro Hero 5 for underwater footage. Glad you enjoyed it! 😊

You have wonderful underwater footage and of the abundance of wildlife just under our noses. This is what sets your channel apart from most others and I love it. Where are you headed this year? Btw the lamp,hanging over your table, is that converted to electric or do you use lamp oil? Just curious as I have a similar one which I love having lit in my cabin but it isn’t as bright as yours. Thank you! The lamp is the large Dutch Trawler lamp and is run on lamp oil/paraffin. Kicks out a bit of heat and a lot of light. Sets a lovely atmosphere below deck, but is relatively fuel hungry! Hoping to spend a while in the Outer Hebrides this year.
Thanks so much! I’m working on my free diving skills but can’t hold my breath for very long at the moment 😂 But yeah most of the underwater footage was taken on breath hold 😉
