Bro, this is a prime example of why it’s so important to create content. My album is droppin in 2 weeks from now, and I literally listened to my mixes again after spending months getting it just right. But then I said to myself "This just isn’t beefy enough. Everything else is perfect, except it just ain’t chunky!" So then I run to TH-cam and type in "My mix is too thin" and then boom... You popped up and saved my entire album. My mixes sound perfect now my nigga. I’m extremely grateful 🙏🏽. Thank you

Interesting. The classic parallel compression technique, a.k.a. New York compression, involves using very high ratios, quick attack, and an EQ directly after the comp with heavy boosts to the highs and lows.

Now this is what i call a perfect tutorial for the simple home musician who wants to embellish his/her mix, without spending hours of fiddling, figuring out tons of how-toos and finally gets lost in the complex mixswamp that's out there.. super well done!

This Dude is fantastic. He has a really nice sincere, positive vibe when he gives these tutorials. It makes it that much easier and helpful learning from him. I wasnt even looking for him but I kind of clicked on one of his tutorials by chance and thought he explain things very well. And he was positive and genuinely seemed to enjoy sharing some of his knowledge. Keep up the excellent work Devvon :)

This tutorial is the f'n ticket bro! Really helping me fill out a part of the mix I just couldn't quite figure out. Never thought to put parallel compression on the entire mix like this. Really helps even things out against the drums. Now if I could just figure out how to clean out the harshness in my vocals. Older lesser quality recording technique producing some high end issues that the C6's multi-band technique can't seem to touch.
