Cutting up a Fabulous book of Brahms! Sacrilege!! Love the beads, but have you no respect for the World's famous composers?? Craft pales in comparison to their genius. Same applies to the great dress patterns of 20yrs ago - and BOOKS!! Some of us grew up with all those things - and gee, life was so much better back then.
I agree that craft pales in comparison to their genius. However I am not cutting up the man or his compositions. I am cutting up paper that I found in the free section of the thrift store, along with other items that were going to be put in the bin in no-one picks it up. Not sure what I should do with it. Frame it? Sell it? Open a museum? I see there are a lot of them for sale on Ebay. Now with the great dress patterns of 20 years ago - that was the 2000s... I definitely don't see that as sacrilege. In terms of books - give your local library a call and ask how many books they destroy a year. Go to a thrift store and ask them. I was in an second hand shop just the other day, and the lady was taking books OFF the shelf. She said, "its so sad that no one is buying books anymore, and we have to get rid of books". I think they should give them out for free. But its 'against the policy'. So, what do they do? They throw them out as rubbish together with all the other stuff they can't sell. The books don't even get recycled! Now that is something I would get riled up about. And when was life better? When women couldn't vote? When their place was in the kitchen? At least they weren't cutting up a fabulous book of Brahms, I suppose.

BRILLIANT IDEA to use calendar pages to make paper beads!!!! Gel medium and Tacky Glue roll off the fingers fairly easily. I made beads with fabric scraps too. I use them on the tassels on bookmarks.
Hi. I loved watching you. I used to make paper beads many years ago. I had so much fun. When I started I was using just white paper and colored markers. Then I used glitter markers. Those were really pretty.i just fiddled around with paper and sizes and colored markers and gutter markers and I messed up alot but this craft isn't expensive. I remember when I made my first necklace. I was just thrilled. As for the jewelry ' I started buying jewelry bags at the thrift stores and Goodwill. You can use so many things off broken necklaces and bracelets. I had a ball one day's I went to a garage sale a few blocks from my house and she had these boxes full of jewelry. Alot of it was new but cheap but really pretty. These boxes were about 8 inches high, 10 inches wide and 8 inches deep and they were packed. Of course they were taped close and 40 dollars a box. Well I bought 1 and left and ent around the corner and opened it. The lady said that there was a little gold and silver in them. Well I figured they had been through. I did find some gold rings, earrings, necklaces, chains. I went back and purchased 4 more boxes for 20 dollars a piece. I still have boxes full in my room. Some time I might use them for something. There was beautiful beads in them. Clasps and different closures. I really loved your video and I've never made any long beads. You can buy a small paper roller but I did best with my fingers. Thank you so much for all your information and what beautiful. Work. God bless you.
I never knew how easy these could be to make...of course you make it look easy😉Going to give them a try, Natasa! Thanks! So glad you are feeling better.
That is so perfect for my daughters and I to do together on rainy days. They are into the Boho effect now in their lives and this is a great addition to that kind of creativity. Thank you again for the inspiration. Maybe bedside lamps with beads as trim and ribbons... Love ALL of your beautiful skills and kindness for sharing it with us.
Amazing u r sooooo talented I just love everything u make and these beads will be a great addition for junk journaling! These paper beads would go perfectly with the paper tassels u made before!!!!!🤩

Natasha, thank you for your videos and for encouraging us to use what we have to create beautiful things. Please don't stop creating and sharing with us!
I have seen beautiful paper beads before, and immediately thought it was way too difficult and time consuming to be bothered with. But now, after watching you...I can do this! Thank you.
I was looking for a new hobby. I've made them before. Now I know what I can do to keep busy. Thanks for the ideas. I was trying to think of something simple to do. Now I know. I have lots of paper.
My grandmother taught me how to make paper beads 50 years ago. They were a popular craft of her youth, so they've been around for a long time. I think every generation is able to make it their own by using contemporary printed material--my grandmother used Sunday supplement newspaper to make her beads, so the colors were muted; while we have such high quality magazine, calendar and even junk mail paper and color printing now.
Absolutely beautiful beads. No worries about the year of calendars. I’ve got some from 1990! 🤭Wonderful ideas other than tags 🏷 and pockets in journals. Love ❤️ this video. Hugs 🤗 DarvaDee USA 🇺🇸
You are an excellent teacher! What a fun idea! I think my grandma did this in the 60’s. I have a vague memory of her rolling them as a little girl!🥰 I sent this to my granddaughters and we will do a FT visit soon to make them! 2017! I do too. They have such pretty pictures, I always think I will use them for something! Look here! I will do something with them! Thanks!
I have plenty of paper all kinds (bought a box of pre-cut book covers years ago), toothpicks, nail polish. I used to roll as you do, then I bought a contraption. I was distracted by card making.Time to get to work, it's been awhile. Much appreciation to you and for you.
I made paper beads many years ago with no thought in my head on what to do with them! I made them because I could. Lol. So now I am making them again. I’ve been using old calendars for about 30 years now to make envelopes. I always have a plethora of them. But now I know I can save the scrap pieces for beads. Thanks for making this tutorial.
Wonderful! We can use those beads for so much more than necklaces and earrings (which personally I would never make or wear) but they look wonderful as "book jewellery"
Thank you for sharing your talent and the inspiration you give with your videos. You are so lucky to have items where your father and mother have also worked on them. What lovely keepsakes to have. Enjoy your day! Catherine
Your beads would look great in macrame plant hangers, or even decorative window strings, draped from a corner. I like making beaded necklaces on large pots, or other ceramic pots or jars. Nice work, lady.
Yes! You have inspired me to use the glitter and glitter nail polish. I have lots of paper beads that I use on all of my journals. Thank you! I love the things you make, you are very talented and inspirational.

This has definitely rekindled the desire to make paper beads. I have many that I’ve made but didn’t know what to do with them. Thank you for the charm tutorial, I know what to do with them now!!
Gorgeous, beautiful, colorful, fantastic, Natasha! I make paper beads too, and these long ones bring me to a whole new level. I went a got a stack of my old calendar and new calendar pages together and I've got enough to make sooo many. I don't have the patience to make them all at once, but I'll finish them bit by bit. I like to mix different projects in one day as I've got a lot of different ideas I've already put in motion. But there's always room for one more-HA! (And I complain I'm overwhelmed with too much to do in just one lifetime). I truly found your uses for the beads in tassels and danglies just so exciting. I had already made a few great tassels and now I plan to add some of my paper beads too. I have so much glitter stuff and now an extra use for it all. I also have the teeniest shiny stars and many more shapes which will also look good if mixed with some plain, transparent glue too. Thank you so very much for this one. XOXOJANE
I love the glitter on the beads. I have made paper beads before & like you left for awhile. I have a friend who gave me bunches of jewelry pieces. I am now thanks to you am anxious to make some tassels. Thanks so much. Enjoy your channel.
Totally forgot about this type of craft. I made them years ago. Such fun. Another idea...lay some next to each other and staggered and even stacked a bit. Glue them together then glue a pin clasp on the back. Makes a beautiful pin. I still have the one I made somewhere. 😁 Love this video! ❤️❤️❤️

Oh my gosh, I used to have a bead roller and used to make bunches and bunches of beads... how did I forget about the beads? Aannnndd... you're using calendar pages... 'member I asked you what to do with my calendar pages? Here it's is! Woman, you rock! Hugs from the southern California desert, MK ❤ 😁 🏜 🤗
I just love this video and it has inspired me to make them again. I have made them before a few years ago and have been collecting papers to make them again. It is fun to make all the different shapes. One thing I found that if you put pva glue all along the paper strip that when it dries the bead is harder and feels less like paper. I also use modge podge to seal beads and then coat with the glitter fingernail polish. This makes a really hard bead. I love adding different colored glitter and combinations are as you say endless.

Thanks! So glad you
are feeling better.
Thank you so much :)

Hi, Natasa Hope you are feeling better!🥰
This is a first paper bead making for me and I can’t wait to create them! Such a cool idea! Thank you for your inspiration! You are so much fun. 💗💗💗
Oh you are going to have so much fun!!!! Thank you for watching :)
Natasha, thank you for your videos and for encouraging us to use what we have to create beautiful things. Please don't stop creating and sharing with us!
Thank you do very much 🙏
I have seen beautiful paper beads before, and immediately thought it was way too difficult and time consuming to be bothered with. But now, after watching you...I can do this! Thank you.
these would make beautiful bead curtains
I was looking for a new hobby. I've made them before. Now I know what I can do to keep busy. Thanks for the ideas. I was trying to think of something simple to do. Now I know. I have lots of paper.
Awesome!! Have fun 😊
You should
My grandmother taught me how to make paper beads 50 years ago.
I love this video I'm an old senoir crafter..40 yrs of crafting but never knew this. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Can't wait to create many beads
Oh, well I’m so glad of being of help!!! Thank you for watching 😊
You have a 2017 calendar because you are a craft’s person! We never throw good stuff out! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So true!
Love this video and your projects! Especially love the paper beads on your journal spines!
Thank you 🤗
Great idea and tutorial. I love recycling old bits and bobs to give them a new life. It's like reincarnation for the crafting world! x
Natasha, I LOVE all of your bead projects. You are so talented. Anything goes together and looks great after your touches. Love all of your talents.
Thank you for sharing your talent and the inspiration you give with your videos. You are so lucky to have items where your father and mother have also worked on them. What lovely keepsakes to have. Enjoy your day! Catherine
Love love love these beads. I’m already in search of scraps and colorful calandres….!!!!!!!!!
Have fun Janie!!
You seek yours and yet you share how you do this and encourage other! How unselfish you are. You are a blessing! Thank you.
Edit: you SELL yours…( I can’t stand auto-correct. It gets me all of the time.)
Thank you so much!
Hi Natasha, thanks for bringing the ideas back. I have a lot of paper beads. They are just stored away. Have a lovely day. Bye for now seen
Hope you still do.
Aw i remember seeing these about twenty years ago glad to see your bringing them back!!!!
They really are so much fun to make :)
I've already commented, but I just had to tell you: when you sealed your beautiful neads with nail polish, I thought, "You are the queen of my hoard!" 😆 More like an angel of mercy ❤

Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us.
This has definitely rekindled the desire to make paper beads. I have many that I’ve made but didn’t know what to do with them. Thank you for the charm tutorial, I know what to do with them now!!
Wonderful!
I’ve made some paper beads but I never really used them for anything. Now you have given me loads of ideas!!!
I love her ideas indeed. Been making paper beads but haven’t done anything with them yet
That beautiful sparkles makes me absolutely a fan of glitter. Wonderfull project. Thank you!!!

Glad you are feeling better. Great tutorial. Beautiful beads. Thanks for sharing.
Love ,love the paper beads and charms with them plus lace ,gorgeous!!
Thank you so much!
Never even heard of paper beads but I’m hooked! Thanks so much!!! I’m a definite fan!
XOXOJANE
I’m so hooked on paper beads, beautifully done
I never get tired of watching your wonderful videos. Thank you for these fantastic tutorials.
It's been years for me too ... but I think it's high time to start again. It is an addictive craft. I keep my old calendars also. lol
I love the glitter on the beads. I have made paper beads before & like you left for awhile. I have a friend who gave me bunches of jewelry pieces. I am now thanks to you am anxious to make some tassels. Thanks so much. Enjoy your channel.
These are beautiful. Your instructions are so easy to follow. I will definitely try with my granddaughter.
Wonderful!
Stunning beads! Beautiful projects.
Everything you demonstrate showcases your extrodinary creativity and each item has so many uses! There are no limits as to how many ways you have sparked my interest to try new ideas in a different way. Many, many thanks for sharing your imaginative genius wih us!

You are so creative,I just love everything you do in the world of crafting. THANKS SO MUCH FROM SOUTH CAROLINA.
I've been doing paper beads for quite some time but I have never made it that big. Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing, Natasha.
Thanks so much 😊
I made these beads sixty years ago. Made a necklace for my mom and was so happy when she put it on when she was going out for dinner.
I love those beads. I have stacks of calendars I can use… thanks for helping me declutter.
Haha! Love it!! Now I have to think of more uses for calendar pages!
You ever come across a vid and didn’t know you needed it? Well now I NEED to do this. Never heard of this by its very beautiful
Your Mum made the cover?!? I can see where you get your talent from! It’s absolutely beautiful! 😍
God bless everything you touch sweetie
Don’t pay any attention to the negative
