Dino Crisis 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games of all time. I still have my original copies for the ps1, I wish they would remake them like RE 2....Hell, even a simple HD remaster would be great. Both games have just so much content, I used to play the arena mode from DC2 with my cousin back when I was young. Funny story about the bonus disc. Back in the rental days, I rented Dino Crisis. They handed me the case and it was a bonus disc case. Most rental places only put stickers on the game they rent to you. They must not have realized that the jewel case had a back compartment for the RE Demo disc. I never been so let down in the 1st 10 seconds of a video XD I think it'll be great that After capcom remakes RE3 & Code Veronica to remake their dino crisis games! :D
i think the producers of JP 3 made a Dino Crisis reference in the movie instead of the other way around, but it goes to show how iconic this game is. that's no coincidence. btw it was a "spinosaurus aegyptiacus" - Dr. Alan Grant
At the end of the game, when the T Rex kills people in the giant elevator, before the shutter close, you could see the corpse of Rick! (they used his model), maybe Rick should have die in the previous scenario.
Great videos as always. I love the dino crisis series ( and RE Obviously) , and on some level I even like DC3 but I consider Dino Stalker to actually be the 3rd entry in the series. As for the demo disk mix up, What happened for me was when I bought Resident Evil 3 I got the full dino crisis game and not its demo disk
Ahh I remember playing Dino crysis with my friend(maternal uncle 7years older than me) when I was 8.. I think! Back then I would name the dinosaurs anything and it was a lot of fun.... Then my "friend" would take out the disk and play parasite evil... It scared the crap out of me...... And then after a few months the console broke.... Rip PlayStation 1
Yeah, that's how I played the game. That's also how I got: Marvel vs. Capcom (ps1), Rival School Project Justice, and Brave Fencer Mushashi. I am not the only one. That was a problem for Capcom manufacturers around the 2000's. To my knowledge it stopped when they axed Clover Studios. I do not know if it was related, but after they were cut I never heard of the problem again.
I played this game close to 20 times and have all of my save files, I like to pick it up occasionally when I want to walk down memory lane.. I tend to notice once you play again, there are less dinosaur respawns in areas like the 1F passageway to the control room, and toward the end of the game fighting the Therenziosaurus in the 3F passageway. I think the game mechanics didn’t age well in that area. Another one I remember is special music tracks that would play when a dinosaur would burst into a room when you reach a certain area in the said room. I couldn’t ever find them on the original OST. One example is the elevator hall on the 2ND floor when the report jumped out of the elevator for the danger scene, and anywhere on the 3rd floor. I believe the backing up door animations where used in the 2nd floor elevator Danger scene, and the gas chamber room. I think they had some intentions to use it elsewhere but never got around to it. Maybe there was supposed to be some special rooms and they where never made. I remember seeing them in the rom files when I would put the disc in the computer and try to find files. It’s been years since I’ve done that. Maybe I’ll try it again and see what I find.
The duel disc happened to me 3 times. First time I got it as a gift for my bday. Few months later I bought one for a new a friend and third time was recently i bought a sealed copy off Ebay and it happened.
Not sure where in the game, but there are supposed to be Umbrella logos on some of the crates (allegedly, Capcom went on record stating Dino Crisis and Resident Evil shared the same universe, but I can't find anything to back that up [read it on a forum about 10+ years ago]).
I actually had the opposite happen to me. I was 6 and my dad just bought the game for himself because he liked the Resident Evil series and when he opened it, there was only the Dino Crisis disk. No demo disk at all, no second copy nothing. My dad being cool was like "oh well, least its only the demo and we still have the full game we bought." I watched that man for a year play it inside and out. It was great lol btw Capcom needs to remake this game if only its the first one. I need some dinosaurs in my life. My body is ready
I remember, Dino Crisis 2 blew me the fuck away, when it first came out. I already liked 1, but 2 was on a whole other level to me. I was happy, if I could even finish 1 one time, but 2 I re-played numerous times....
I remember after school I ran to the game store to buy a new game since I finished Tumba. I got Dino Crisis and it had two of them. I went back the next day. (RE3 already came out) I showed him the case and he said it happened with another guy. He took the second disk and gave me RE3 for free. I was a regular customer and the guys got to know me so I think that helped.
Needless to say, as a youngster me and my buddies played the fuck out of Dino Crisis and the RE3 demo. The demo itself is such a nostalgia piece to me, it's sad how much time has passed.
Imma nope the hell out of wanting a remake. When the Rex crashes through the window in the office...... I had a big double window like that in my room, and I was terrified for months after watching that scene. I wouldn’t go in my room by myself..... but that terrible memory aside, I really like the idea of the game being remade with the new engine. That would make the game much more epic....
There is also regional differences in codes, which open doors and different locks. Imagine, I played Japan version, with Japan texts and English sound. Most difficulties for me was solving the ddk disks passwords ( I write hieroglyphics on paper and try to combine in visually). Also I used vocabulary, because I was 11 years old Russian boy with beginer knowledge of English) After playing 1 part, dino crisis 2 was to easy for me)
you know what? with the luke warm response to the jurassic world franchise, I bet Dino crisis as a franchise would dominate. Imagine if they did a cg movie that was a chapter 0 on netflix or something, then released the 2 games (they'd most likely make dc 2 more survival horror too)
It is funny how the algorithms always know which games I have and have been playing lately this year. I am starting to think Smartphones record music in the background and look for their source's based on matched music patterns and source them to the proper games they belong to before telling the algorithms on TH-cam that I have recently played those games and to link me to videos that match my interest on those grounds, which I do not mind by the way, but to be honest, it is kind of cool actually.
It only took you 10 seconds to make me happy then cry. My family would be proud.

Nice easter eggs. Btw, I always though 'Cooper get eaten first' in Jurassic Park 3 was an actual homage and easter egg to Dino Crisis.
"It's like the video game Gods handed the game to me from the heavens and were like...'Here Bitch...'" ☠☠☠🤣
I got the 2 discs like you, i'm from Peru and i think i was the only one who were that lucky !!! It's funny to know that all these years i wasn't the only one :D
Fuiste buscando cobre y encontraste oro xd
How to count in Italian
1 - You
2- have...
This was just an amazing game just loved playing it over and over great vid dude
I never been so let down in the 1st 10 seconds of a video XD I think it'll be great that After capcom remakes RE3 & Code Veronica to remake their dino crisis games! :D
Really loving this channel! Good work!
It was a spinosaurus that ate cooper in Jurassic park 3
Love this kind of contents !
me to
In the promotional CG art for Dino Crisis Regina has blue eyes but her avatar ingame has brown. She also has brown/reddish eyes in DC2.
i think the producers of JP 3 made a Dino Crisis reference in the movie instead of the other way around, but it goes to show how iconic this game is. that's no coincidence. btw it was a "spinosaurus aegyptiacus" - Dr. Alan Grant
Awesome video as always!
At the end of the game, when the T Rex kills people in the giant elevator, before the shutter close, you could see the corpse of Rick! (they used his model), maybe Rick should have die in the previous scenario.
Omg Zellphie watched my video! 🤓✨
I love your channel haha
@@InkRibbon thank you, I love your channel too. ^^
Camera angles was better than the re games, plus you shoot while walking , i was scared playing this as a kid , along with silent hill
I do not know if it was related, but after they were cut I never heard of the problem again.
there's a "Saturday night fever" reference at the Stabilizer door
I got RE3 and Dino crisis. I wish I got 2 Dino Crisis discs now! Lol
2019 Ink Ribbon: So now that they accounced the remake for Dino Crisis,
2020 Me: Yeah. They did.
2019 Ink Ribbon: Just kidding.
2020 Me: Wait what?
I got the game with 2 game disks in mine also. You are not alone.
Something similar happened when I bought the game back in the day. Instead of resident evil 3 demo I got both dino crisis 1 and 2. Amazing!!!!
We bought the two disc set so we could play the RE3 demo as well, but didn't get an extra game disc. That was a gift from the video game gods
Great video on a great franchise
That bate and switch door from RE2 scared the hell out of me as a kid.
Needless to say, as a youngster me and my buddies played the fuck out of Dino Crisis and the RE3 demo. The demo itself is such a nostalgia piece to me, it's sad how much time has passed.
It was a Spinosaurus in JP3
Imma nope the hell out of wanting a remake. When the Rex crashes through the window in the office...... I had a big double window like that in my room, and I was terrified for months after watching that scene. I wouldn’t go in my room by myself..... but that terrible memory aside, I really like the idea of the game being remade with the new engine. That would make the game much more epic....
It would be so cool to see a remake happen.
There is also regional differences in codes, which open doors and different locks. Imagine, I played Japan version, with Japan texts and English sound. Most difficulties for me was solving the ddk disks passwords ( I write hieroglyphics on paper and try to combine in visually). Also I used vocabulary, because I was 11 years old Russian boy with beginer knowledge of English) After playing 1 part, dino crisis 2 was to easy for me)
Loved this game as a kid. Making me want to buy it lol
I had the double disc thing happen to me as well. I ended up giving it to my cousin.
I just beat the game yesterday, so now i’m binge watching everything about it 😂.
I would REALLY love for this game to be ported, remastered, remade or whatever. I sadly don't own any systems that this game was/is available on.
It's rumoured that Dino Crisis is getting a remake. But most likely on the Ps5
you know what? with the luke warm response to the jurassic world franchise, I bet Dino crisis as a franchise would dominate.
I'm sure most of you already know but she's a costume you could use in Dead Rising 3. Or something like that
Finally some good content
You toyed with my emotions... I like that. Anyways, great video and content. Just wish they would actually do a remake of this amazing game.
