Rancher 350 Project Finished!!

- It was a fun little project to get ready for this coming weekend for Mud Jam 8. Hopefully have some good video and get into a few mud holes with it. Well see how well I did for it sitting for 6 years.

I have one with 786 miles on it, I have 2 inch lift, outlaw tires,I keep up with the big boi's on that 4x4 ES 350

how'd that front end hold up with those big tires? looks good, my bike, wore the bering seat out with big tires, Bering slipped in the race wore it so it didn't press in tight. mine is a 350 also. Heavy mud runs kill them poor fronts with big tires.

What did you do about the water in the motor when you got it? I just got one for 100 bucks has water in the motor told me smoked when they pulled the front plastics and seat off. I like your bike that's the look I'm going for
Does that exhaust long pipe do anything to your power? Is that strictly for water riding so it's not submerged? Thanks
I’m wanting to do a fo-4 or fo-14 exhaust on my 02 rancher 350 what do I need to carb for it to run good ? Jet sizes and it has a 2” snorkel on it already . Or can I just run exhaust and leave carb alone
Did you have to jet the carb with the tractor exhaust ?

What brand are the disk breaks I have some of SuperATVs on my 300 and they do not have good pressure at the lever How are the ones on the rancher and do you know of any tricks to make mine better iv bled them several times and it doesn’t get better

If I put a f0-4 or fo-14 on my Honda rancher 350 do I have to jet the carb or can I leave it alone ???

I love old hondas ,but am a fan of the stock look not the crazy snorkle and exhaust. Looks good though minus that.
What is the offset of those wheels? 2+5? Standard SRA rear wheels all around?

just wondering did you have to rejet the new carb and if so what did you use ? Doing the same build on my 2000 Honda rancher
I did tweak it a little bit. Mainly with the Needle and A/F Screw.
So did you not re jet the main or pilot jet?
How did you go through mud with the electric shift solenoid because I heard if you get mud in it it will stop working

Them Hondas are the best ATVs you could buy I had one a couple years back I beat the ever loving dog shit out of it I replaced every plastic an on it I can’t complain about Honda From the radiator being jammed with mud to being rolled over to being almost ran out of oil it took a liking and I finally just got rid with a rod knock probably had 12,000 miles on it
Yea this Rancher has done some things that surprised me completely. I love Honda's and just bought one this weekend.

Do you have to snorkel your exhaust? I had my Honda exhaust deep and it wanted to cut off. Any solutions??
You don’t have to snorkel it , but it is sometimes good to depending on the riding you do. With an exhaust snorkel it ensures you won’t get a drop of water in the engine
if my bike dies underwater do I need a exhaust snorkel or idle up carb?

I have that and mine was sitting at my cousins for a long time and the carborator and brake lines weren’t working and it has a lot of stains on then motor part by the foot breaks how can I get them off

What do you use to clean the engine? That brown baked on mud is hard to clean off

What is your secret on bringing back the life on the plastics. I think you did a real nice job on the bike.
Pretty much just a good wash and Cover All is all I use.
SC1 High Gloss coating also works great for plastics, especially for bringing back faded plastics. It also helps with cleanup, due to the dirt and mud not sticking to the SC1.

Just a little piece on mind, keep mud from packing up the exhuast.

Can u make a video of how you seal up your air box ?
FoxRacing238 there are 3 main places where you need to all the seals as in where your snorkel come in around the carburetor seal and the hose on the left side as well as the screw on the outside and then the lip of your lid put silicone on that then just stick it on lock it up.

Caleb Waddle I just went to the local Muffler Shop and had them bend it up for me. 1.5" I'D with a 45* Bend then a 45* Flush Cut

Any muffler shop can bend you one. 90* to a 45* and cut flush.

Whats the offset on the rims you used on this setup?
They only offer 2, IRS and SRA. These are SRA all the way around to avoid wheel spacers on the front.

How is it not ticking my rancher 350 ticks bad on top end
It was a relatively new Rancher and the motor was never gone into. Also I just adjusted the Valves and tuned the Carb just right.

Got to have the head reworked with at least new valves seals usually.

I had one set up this exact same way but I had a Gear Reduction.. It was a fun little wheeler.. I just dont care for the motors
