I agree with you about the compensator , it just add weight compared to a ported barrel thats why i make my own rail weights from 3 ounces and 5 ounces . Better than pure tungsten guide rods and compensator . The slide is beautiful and they made it as light as possible.

How much better is that Chrome -S ? Do recommend it for someone who has no Caniks ? Or is there a better option?

The only difference is the Rival-S is very heavy compared to the TP9-SFX

Took a minute to get to the gun, but i enjoyed the video. Caniks already shoot well on a budget, so now Canik wants to charge a premium price for a gun that shoots well. The upgrades appear to be for Aesthetics. Once again great video.
In the future feel free to use the chapter markers to skip to the parts you're interested in, but It sounds like you skipped some important parts. This gun is physically quite different from other Caniks and that showed in the range performance (see pinned comment).
Just bought the Canik today..my local gun store has sold 4 of them just today, including mine so they are going quick..I paid 980, which is 30 over MSRP..
We need a cleaning and lubrication video for the tti combat please. Just got mine today. Taking it to the range tomorrow!
Cleaning an lubrication is no different than any other gun. Where carbon collects, remove it. Where metal contacts metal lubricate

Just picked up mine today, going to put the lighter spring in it for the cheap 115gr i shoot. Ty for this vid, saved me a ton of time thinking the compensator disconnected before a field strip.
Also, when the slide is racked back, my comp can wiggle in place. Is this normal?
In my experience you don't need the lighter sprung for cheap 115gr, even Fiocchi (one of the weakest of 24 range loads I tested) runs fine.
Yes, part of that is the barrel being able to rock a little when unlocked, part of it is just how the muzzle weight mounts.

@GBGuns also mine did not come with a dot, are you aware of different offerings for this gun? It's hard to find any concrete information
I wish they would offer this more aggressive texture as an option on the regular frames also,at least on the bigger guns. It might be a little too much on the MC9 against your skin.
We describe ourselves as poor people. It's not hard. I love this gun though. I watched your video before I strip and clean my gun after the first run at the range today.

I really like the Caniks I have,but the 1k price on this is dangerously close to a CZ shadow TS2 on sale.but getting something that says TTI on it for 1k is nice.
Canik needs to release this in an all black version. This burnt bronze on this particular gun looks cheesy to me.

I believe Canik went to him to make a TTi combat version to help push their sales. They make great guns, they just don't get the credit they deserve.
They are like the under dog that is making a great product.

Out of stock on all those links?? They probably doing what classic firearms did. They got one early & put up on the site waiting for the first big shipment to arrive. Out of stock at Classic Firearms too but has been ever since they put it on their site.
They were in stock on a couple of them when I published the article

Can't even get these online really anymore except on auction/3rd party sites.
I listed some shops that had them in stock as of the date my article was published, but the big release is supposed to be 22APR. Check the sources I listed, maybe sign up for an "in stock" notification

I was actually surprised Canik did a collaboration with Taran Butler considering….do your own homework, do you think it’s basically a very overpriced Rival? It’s kind of like the Apocalypse- overpriced numbered Mete sf, don’t get me wrong I love my TP9 Elite sc, Mete sft I just can’t justify $$$ for small changes and a name plate, thank you for sharing with us brother.
In the article I outline some significant differences that combine for a different shooting experience. The differences are not just cosmetic.

At this point though, Canik has become Glock. Everything they put out is EXACTLY the same as the last thing they put out except bigger or smaller, longer or shorter.
They still beat Glock, by FAR, in my opinion... But I'd like to see variety. Frame change, maybe a revolver, how about a Canik 1911!!? With the attention they put on their striker fired guns, I bet a stock Canik 1911 would have an insanely good trigger!

This pistol has some significant changes as outlined in the article. Canik makes M2s as I showed in another article, but I doubt we'll be seeing those on the US market.
Don’t forget that Canik also made high quality CZ clones for reasonable cost.
Wish they could continue that line of firearms.

Sig classic P2XX and metal CZ 's have spoiled me. Listen to this slide racking- sounds like potato chips. This is the polymer design downfall with dingus triggers. Metal pistols are making a comeback.
Slide rails have very little load on them.
YT has gone downhill fast over the last 3 to 4 years.
Its sad that the gun world has become so commercial that people will pay hundreds of dollars for a guys name
It's called, "branding" and exists in every industry on every product. Fortunately in the case of this gun, as shown in this video, it truly is a different model and not just a "King Ranch Edition" type cosmetic change.
