I bought one a while back, it's an ok gun. it has a hard recoil for a 9mm to me. the plastic piece in the recoil spring broke the first 50 rounds. i will say their CS is great. i e-mailed them about the spring and within 30 minutes they are calling me asking what they can do. i told them what happened and within 3 days i had a new spring. I didn't care for the slick feel and the heavy recoil so i traded it in on another gun.
I just bought this gun myself and as a left-hander, the ambidextrous mag release and slide lock felt really smooth in operation. Disassembles and assembles well. Fires well with a little less than if not average 9mm recoil. Overall a nice firearm priced decently.
Thank you for sharing your honest reviews. You're TH-cam channel is a great source of information for those who own firearms or are interested in firearms. We hope RM didn't snub you or your TH-cam channel. My husband and I have many Arex pistols including the Delta. They are highly reliable firearms. We wish you and Teya a great weekend 🙏
It seems like this is an Arex Delta where they have removed the things I like about the Arex. Specifically these are the texture and trigger. Hard for me to see why I would get the Rost Martin instead of the Arex. Looking forward to the shooting test.
The dimensions of the Delta M nicely bridge the gap between a standard compact and the XL Micros, and with full ambi controls. The Arex is likely more secure in the hand, but this looks more comfy for IWB.
Mon ami! Great review. The comparison to Arex is telling indeed! This is a very crowded market segment and to get attention and interest, they need something to crow about. Doing the basics well isn’t enough. Heck, doing the basics flawlessly puts you in a slightly less crowded arena! Is their something that they do better than anyone else that the can point to as their distinguishing factor? I like the looks so I hope they have something good to really focus on on.
I have found the trigger pull smoothness and crispness of break on my Rost Martin to be better than my AREX Delta Gen 2 I shoot the Rost Martin better than my AREX Delta Gen 2. Groups are smaller and more accurate. Range distances shot were 7, 10 and 15 Yards for both guns.
Thanks for doing this review, I was on the bubble for awhile about it and this was the deciding factor to say no to it; innovation is great, but if it's a product that's still not fully refined by the time it comes to market, which this one seems like it's not, then it's best to wait. Also, I have a CZ P-10C and try as hard as I might, it's really hard to find any competitors at that price point that stand up to it. Finally, I saw in one of your videos you were an Air Force linguist? I just retired 3 years ago as a Navy linguist; small world.
This gun is fully functional. I was an Army Crypto-Linguist that ended up spending most of my time on the tactical time. 15 years and not one "strategic" assignment!
@@GBGuns I graduated the school in 2003, had many Army classmates, all of whom were sent to Hawaii with me but they worked at the 25th ID and were sent to OEF; 2 years of training only to wash Humvees in the mountains! I much preferred my time deployed than sitting on shore, and now I'm a retiree with too much time on my hands and not enough money to spend too much time at the range!
The good thing about the Arex Delta Gen 2 is that you don't need to pull the trigger to take off the slide. My guess is that you don't need to pull the trigger on the RT either.
I thought about buying one of these yesterday but decided to go with a rock island 1911 instead. Not saying it’s a bad firearm just seems kind of basic and I can’t say no to any 1911
Id take the arex over this and the mossberg mc2c over both . the mossberg has way less recoil than both aswell. The arex and ross are just too light imho, All three however are better than nothing lol.
I like the comment about firearm companies in the beginning. I've noticed more often that guns are being given to influencers as a sales pitch and then they disappear off the map, including this one. The huge disclaimer for ammo choice is probably to protect them legally and an excuse to deny warranty. Rost-Martin marketed this gun as an Arex delta clone made by women and minority people of color. Boeing did the same thing and look at their airplanes right now 😂 Now im gonna hop over to the website and check the live fire review!
Pretty wild they want $400 for this. It looks good but for a brand new company (and an AREX copy) this should be no more than $350. Especially since you can get a used PPQ for $400.
Good review, but a very important piece of info wasn't mentioned, which is disappointing: Rost Martin is a minority-owned, veteran owned company! After watching many reviews, I broke down and ordered one today.

@@GBGuns I'm a hammer guy, so I know I come from a place of prejudice, that being said, I think "meh, they all look the same, and the market is so full of them." No offense ever meant.
@DanielMartinez-lz3ot no offense taken, just wanted to be sure you understood the difference between a 90's-tech Glock and modern striker pistol. I'm a hammer guy too, but evaluate all firearms equally using a set protocol to prevent any favoritism from souring things too much.
😂that's gunsmithing😂 ya know TH-cam that shows you don't have no idea what you are saying, thats called drinking the kool-aid without knowing the flavor 😂

The best clear close-up view with proper lighting direction without glare, just perfect, thank you.
Man i have the Rost Maritn RM1C it's badass shoots like a dream money well spent!

The recoil feels lighter to me than most other 9mm pistols.
On an interview that I saw the other day with the owner of Rost Martin they said that they worked in collaboration with Arex Delta for the RM1C
Nice looking gun. Straight forward design and handsome.

When I saw these on a Shot Show video they said it's CZ P10 mag compatible.

If I hadn't bought a Taurus GX4 Carry last week with my limited budget I'd definitely consider because of similar specifications and price range.

I have the arex love mine at about 800 rounds excellent gun.
I have 2 Arex Delta Gen II and they have both been flawless!
🇺🇸
Nice advice about the insertion of the magazines. Thank you.
Rost Martin reminds me of a wine / champagne company.
Ross Martin co starred in the popular 60s series Wild Wild West with Robert Conrad.
The dimensions of the Delta M nicely bridge the gap between a standard compact and the XL Micros, and with full ambi controls.
The Arex is likely more secure in the hand, but this looks more comfy for IWB.
The RM1C and Arex Delta Gen 2 appear to be really great carry options. They are almost in that "Slim Compact" category it seems like?

My back slide plate will not come off to clean striker channel its like it's glued in, anyone else?
The name makes me think of one of the late 1800 gun companies.

I thought +p was higher pressure than Nato ammo ,an i wrong?
According to my research +p and NATO are the same pressure for 9mm
Does the Arex fcu fit?
Not without cutting the serialized part out of the RM frame, which is likely illegal as that would be defacing.
i wonder if anyone has shot them with the slides changed over
They certainly fit, but I had no interest in trying it at the risk of damaging both guns simultaneously

Why is that information important? Do you think race or service history is a factor in making a gun? I've always seen firearms as the great equalizer.

looks like another generic handgun.
Very late to the party generic handgun.
what in heck is wrong with gunsmithing on TH-cam
Not only do they not allow it, they don't allow any physical changes to the gun and have even demonetized my videos for basic field stripping.
Arex, Rost Martin, Dagger, Shadow Systems, etc. Just buy a glock 19. And why would anybody pay 1,500 for a clone?
Arex and Rost Martin are modern firearms, not Glock clones. People buy a Dagger to save some money, a Shadow System because they look cool.

Another glock knock off 😢
What do you think this has in common with a Glock?
Good price. Just another Glock clone.
No, this is a moden firearm. Glocks a vintage 90s design.
Not a good sign of a product's quality when they come out saying it's a DEI woke tool. 😐
They are cz p10c mags 😅
And Arex Delta Gen 2 mags 🤣
@@GBGunsthey look compatable with the Arex Zero 1 mags also.
