Yes, really. The first 3 games were 3rd-person action games, now the fourth installment is an isometric action RPG? What part of that is beyond your comprehension?
@@aiden_macleod the part where one was a pretty straightforward hack and slash, another an open world rpg and another a Souls like, and now to match Strife's personality this games is a top down twin stick.
To be honest my favorite thing about this franchise, is like what Yahtzee says, it takes inspiration from series like Warhammer 40k where characters are walking brick walls with weapons wider then they are tall fighting with big gunny, guns and sharpy, sharp swords... But weirdly enough after the first game it's taken on a little bit of a lighter side to it underneath it. Such as the guy named *Death* caring for his brother enough to try and help him out. Heck I think Genesis is actually Darksiders accepting it's true aesthetic with how they handled Strife's personality and his dynamic with his brother War.
Yep, kind of a bummer. Stadia might have pricing guidelines for games that tend to have longer average play times? (since running the game costs Google more the longer you play) Either way, I hope it will have some form of discount on Stadia around the new year... 🤞🏻
Didnt you get the memo? In 2019 every major company is making the worse moves they can just to prove thier consumer-base won't care and that they are too big to fail.
Darksiders 2 is a probably the best puzzle platformer of the series but it is riddled with bugs and crashes and you can easily soft lock the game and lose hours of progress. If you do intend to buy it, turn off damage indicators and back-up your local save file regularly. As for Genesis I just finished playing it and it is well worth it's price, plenty of content and some interesting bosses, I suggest playing it on a higher difficulty to really appreciate them. lots of collectables too that actually impact your strength.
@@LovelyRottweiler-nn5ot waaw! thanka for replying after four years! but yeah! you could maybe co-op & enjoy this, but, I don't know if your son is a lil too young for the games I could suggest these days with coop
Looks like the used the same art/engine as Torchlight 2 - which explains the lack of camera rotation (even though mods exist to add it to Torchlight 2)
I'm pretty tired of getting ads for this game. I played half of the first one before my brother finished it without asking. Watched an LP of the second and a cutscene compilation of the third. I don't care, STOP ADVERTISING THIS GAME TO ME TH-cam!!!
Really? Top down camera? Fuck if I'm playing this game now. Should've stopped at 2 and never rebooted the series. 3 was a disappointing entry and this isnt even a dark souls game. If I wanted diablo, I'd play diablo
It’s a terrible game. Couldn’t even finish it considering I love the darksiders series. They don’t even tell you there’s a dodge button so bosses were killing me many times
I'm so happy this franchise gets to continue.
I just wish they had continued with the original genre. This presentation just screams "Mobile Game."
@@aiden_macleod really ? It's seems pretty fitting for how experimental the series has been so far.

It makes my heart happy to see this franchise is still going. I hope this sells well.
Steam - 29.99
Stadia - 39.99
Just... Why

Yeah, fuck Stadia and Google and whoever's stupid enough to fall for this Gimmick.
steam was $25.14 if u preordered it and that is what i did :)
Why is red Dead redemption $60 on PC huh?
Loved your review.
This franchise is really underrated.
Best of them is Darksiders War-edition
Opinion.

Good review! Hadn't heard this was being made. Looks interesting.
I got it December 5th on Steam when it launched - so much fun! I love the game!
Is it worth buying it
1:12 *slag demon* yeah, you get a lot of those in Basildon, too.
I wish strife got his own game. Best design of the horseman
Did I hear it right? This game is more expensive on Stadia?
It's a 10$ idiot tax for anyone dumb enough to actually buy games on Stadia. Standard industry practice.
I'm absolutely loving it
This is by far the best looking game in this franchise, in my opinion. I will probably get this one, and if i like it, maybe Darksiders 2

@@dragonofterra5086 i've had darksiders 2 on pc for years and never encountered any bugs
Yay a Larryn Bell review 🙂
"Available on steam for 29.99 and on Google Stadia for 39.99"
Gee. I wonder why Stadia shut down.
I think this best enjoyable with two player local co-op
I'm starting this with my son tonite

@arjunratnadev he's 8 hahaha we finished resident evil 5 the other day so he doesn't scare easy 😆😆 I hope you are well
Love the sound track in your review. What is it?
I believe it is "Main Menu Theme" from Darksiders Genesis
Thanks for the review!
Just in time !!
Well done
I only knew about this game because if that dummy thicc demoness enemy.
Man what a breath of fresh air compared to ign reviews.
I want your settings
Quick and informative thank you.
Just bought the game. Will be playing splitscreen with my wife
Camera is a problem
Stadia go home, you're drunk.
1:53... That's the Hearthstone logo
Barely a review... was it good? was it 10/10 or 1/10? was it enjoyable? is there depth? barely touched on loot.
Huh, neat!

Why is it that if you Pre-order this game with Best Buy you'll get it on Dec. 31 a month & a half earlier than everywhere else
THIS GAME SUUUUUUUUUCKKKS !!!!!!!!!! .
It seems pretty lame to me that you can't control all four of them. That's what it seems like this type of game was made for.

Why are people disliking?
Salt that it's non-Yahtzee content is my guess, going by past downvoter comments.
Now there's one dislike, though.
where the fuck is pestilence, that's what i wanna know

“3:22” ...
Timed platforming sections urgh.
there are only 2 of them and they are very very short.
Too band it’s isometric

2nd comment lol?

The 3rd game was awful. I hate dark souls clone.
This game sucks
