The dynamic between those two is one thing I am very curious about. Before the events of Darksiders 3, it felt like Fury was very self absorbed and was only with the other horsemen because she had to be. This, of course, changed by the end of the game, but with how much Death proved he deeply cares for his brethren in Darksiders 2, I picture those two clashing the most.
More like a sequel to the spin off series, DS:Genesis was announced 5 months ago, so is possible that it was being in development for about a year (probably started this year or ending of last year), so I wouldn't be surprised if another one is announced next year before the 4th one of the main series.
Steven Bryan weird that Death comes across as the more empathetic of them. Strife probably suffers from crippling depression with the amount of time he spends bantering.

If i play a Horsemen of the Apocalypse I expect to be able to take down enemies left and right (like the old darksiders), compared to playing a shittier version of dark souls, where one crap enemy can kill me. I mean no wonder the devs moved on to remnant from the ashes after darksiders 3.
A little update for those wondering if they should buy the game over a year later: 1. They fixed most if not all the collision issues 2. You can now see enemy outlines behind enviorments, making it mucuh easier to orient yourself with the top down camera 3. Bugs and glitches , the few that were, have been fixed. So, yeah, most of the main issues the game had have been fixed and its a solid 9/10 right now
@Matthew Wilkins I would much rather have Genesis 2 with 4 player co-op, imo Genesis is the best in the series, but I definitely understand wanting a 4th game. But for me personally, I can't get enough of Genesis and it's absolutely amazing soundtrack.

I love that they deliberately made the series so it can pretty much go in any direction it wants. There's no reason that there can't be a shoot 'em up spinoff for example based on the flying horse segments from Darksiders 1.
Ok I was really worried about this games execution, but the fact that it’s so world friendly and can jump from platform to platform. Yeah I really like it.
I think all the ppl hating on 3 should try it now with all the patches and the new "old" control scheme and combat flow. I was not thrilled at first but thanks to work Gunfire put into it I grew to love it almost as much as first two. I love this series and want to see it finally get the props it deserves! This game looks right up my alley and w/ couch co-op I couldn't be more thrilled to have my lil brother move back closer to home! Airship Syndicate really killed it with Battlechasers and this looks even better!
Maybe the greatest coop game I’ve ever played. Rich story, Vicious combat, talent sphere grid, AMAZING lvl design, A+ Voice acting and Art, everything from the drawn animation scenes to the fully rendered ones. This game is definitely a Gem. If your even slightly thinking about getting this game because you liked darksiders...GET IT. One warning though. You SHOULD have a friend couch coop OR online friend and be voiced up. The dungeons are challenging. Enjoy.
I wonder if they changed the camera angles to avoid turning this game into a First/Third person shooter. Not that I'm complaining since I love games like Diablo and will probably check this game out as well when it comes to the Switch

They should have done the seamless split screen I have seen in other games, where the two screens unite when the two characters are in eachother's vicinity.
I would've preferred a open-world type of format for this style of game, especially since past games in the series were like that. There's frankly too many isometric games like this in cramped, linear dungeons with merely segmented open areas.

The game is amazing, but the insane amount of bugs, plus the fact that playing with a keyboard makes it quite frustrating, i just quit at chapter 5... will go and try the I and II, since its more keyboard friendly.
I wish there's a way to zoom in the camera so that it feels immersive. I enjoyed ds2 mostly due to the camera angle and the fact you can control it. If the final game doesn't zoom in to the action, I'm afraid I might not get it. I do have to admit this is the most polished Darksiders game in terms of graphics and gameplay. If the camera can be zoomed so the characters don't look so tiny, that would be great

Should be. 3 was a budget revive (testing the waters)... it sold decent so they already have 4 in the works and hopefully this will be the true sequel as you say (both in story and quality).
This is one of those games that could’ve shot through the atmosphere with spectacular cutscenes that showcased cinematic movie scenes. But they opted for the cheap route and just kept it at snarky dialogue with side scrolling literature.....this is such a disrespect to the fan base. Don’t think that we as fans didn’t notice the disrespect.....word will spread.
Well yes, now i'm on 2nd run Hard difficulty and only thing which i hate in game is that they change cinematics for comic like pages.... One of the best moments in Darksiders 1 are badass cinematics with Samael 😔
I’ll try this out but I definitely don’t want this to be the new style I don’t feel immersed because the characters are so tiny and I like being able to follow the characters completely and see all their details when I played as death and war it felt like an explosion of action but I feel like I’m watching ants walk around in this
I really wish they would of made one the horseman pestilence. Like grotesque and toxic type moves. Maybe powers that call up insects and acid or poision that stuns enemies with sickness. Would of been a cool mix to the four I think

Dark siders series, is underrated! Alot better than so many games with lost directions or new ips. Death stranding, assassins creed series or battlefield are some of them.

Third person is tremendously better, it's pretty obvious that it was made like this due to lower budget, same as no cutscenes, dialogues done in a comic fashion, limited landscape. However it's pretty awesome piece of work considering it's a budget game. THQnordic needed more capital to develop a full darksiders 4 Strife game. Hopefully we see a third person shooter game with Strife next or all the horsemen together. You can get used to this style, it's not that bad just yeah definitely different in comparison to the previous games.
Lack of polish, pre-prequel story and still-frame cutscenes? Hopefuly they try to fund or hold on to resourses for Darksiders 4. As long as the game is fun ,i believe we should show our support for THQN.
Come on Darksiders deserve better and frankly Striff is suppose to have his own story line like everbody else did. Granted that it does take place in the beginning before war was framed ,but it would be nice to see what striff went through on his quest as the council demanded of him. This is IGN’s highest rated Darksiders game, I believe. This is the first time a game in the series got the respect it deserved.
I really wanted a genuine darksiders 4 but if the need to make a game in between to fund a proper sequel, I'm game.

The platforming is much worse than it was in DS2 though. For all its fault, DS2 will remain where the series peaked for me.
I love isometric action games. I’m thrilled they took this direction and will be getting this.

Wow, Strife is actually _cheerful_ ?! Now I really want a Darksiders 4 with Strife. War, Death, and Fury are great but they are grumps lol.
Hats off to Airship syndicate, here's hoping for a Darksiders 4 and a continuation to the cliffhanger of the first game.

Isometric gameplay seems to be what people want, looking at that surprising rating for a Dark Siders now put in a Diablo Style.

Yep all 4 games are on ps4, Warmastered is a ps4 version of the original ps3 just ported over and same with Deathinitive edition for DS2, 3 is on ps4 as itself
One of my favorite games is Battle Chasers. This game looks like that with the fighting style of Diablo. I’ll be buying this very soon
I just hope Strife doesn't behave like this in Darksiders 4. The whole Deadpool schtick he's doing is cute and all, but not something I'd expect in Darksiders.

Dark siders series, is underrated! Alot better than so many games with lost directions or new ips. Death stranding, assassins creed series or battlefield are some of them.
Am I the only who is used to the 3rd person and not this kind of style(no I’m not saying I hate it I actually have like it but come on tell me you at least the third person style)
Third person is tremendously better, it's pretty obvious that it was made like this due to lower budget, same as no cutscenes, dialogues done in a comic fashion, limited landscape. However it's pretty awesome piece of work considering it's a budget game. THQnordic needed more capital to develop a full darksiders 4 Strife game. Hopefully we see a third person shooter game with Strife next or all the horsemen together. You can get used to this style, it's not that bad just yeah definitely different in comparison to the previous games.

Lack of polish, pre-prequel story and still-frame cutscenes? Hopefuly they try to fund or hold on to resourses for Darksiders 4. As long as the game is fun ,i believe we should show our support for THQN.

What they couldn't afford third person? And with the guns in Stryfes hands you'd think it would be a shoot'em up game.
Come on Darksiders deserve better and frankly Striff is suppose to have his own story line like everbody else did. Granted that it does take place in the beginning before war was framed ,but it would be nice to see what striff went through on his quest as the council demanded of him. Please come out with another Darksiders and let it be just striff only maybe meet with death or fury to help him out for a brief moment
Nice to see this game getting praise after reviewers unfairly ripped Darksiders III. Can't wait for this spinoff.
Split screen local co-op is amazing don't knock it. Screen size is perfectly fine that's just how it is!
