    What a beautiful country we live in. As a angler it always inspires me how you can drive 30 minutes from home and end up in a place where you don't see another soul. You can watch nature and switch off from the stress of modern life. To me catching is always a bonus. Keep up the good work 👍

    Nice fish Nathan, especially the giant at 19.00 ha ha, bird flu is a big problem, we've just been told to put our poultry under cover but we're very close to several big poultry producers that bring them in from Eastern Europe, makes you wonder. Thanks for the vid, take care, Norfolk Ray.

      Haha, it was a monster, best fish I've had all season! I seems to be making it's way down south, I've fished all over the north and Scotland and there are dead birds every where, world's largest gannet colony, puffins, Razor bills... anything that lives in a close colony has been wiped out. Think I read the National Trust picked up 3000 dead sea birds just from the Farne Islands. I'd be isolating your birds as soon as you can, if I was you. Tight lines Ray, and hope your birds are OK.👍

    Another great video, spectacular scenery, and a couple of nice fish. Amazes me how the colour of pollock differ so much, from dark greeny brown nearly black to bright orange marbled, all from the same mark. Be nice to have the sea so calm, we’ve been fishing in the rough stuff lately, still managing to catch some fish. Some reason we’ve had loads of garfish recently, even taking the lures deep. Keep up the good work!

    • @SlippyLimpets
      @SlippyLimpets  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lovely pink! 😂 just out of curiosity, do you wear specific trainers on the rocks? I’m in Dawlish and have a lovely Little Rock mark but struggling with decent footwear that doesn’t end with me saying prayers to the fishing gods to get me off in one piece.

    • @SlippyLimpets
      @SlippyLimpets  ปีที่แล้ว

      I normally wear approach shoes, designed for climbers to wear while they're walking to the crags on very similar terrain to us anglers. Normally have a supportive midsole and sticky rubber treads. Work great on dry rock and grass most types of wet rock tend to be too slippery for rubber soles. To help with that, I've added SupaTracks studs, which just screw in to the sole, and they make a huge difference. Hope this helps👍🎣

    Shocking the amount of bird loss.

      Pink slow jigs have been good for me but not much joy on the SP's, until this session. In terms of size, I normally use smaller lures for pollack they seem to prefer the slight size rather than a big soft plastic, maybe it's because they can eat more of them before filling up? Who knows🤷‍♂️

      Thanks Stephen, glad you liked it. I use pink metals a fair bit but not soft plastics, maybe use them a bit more after this session. Tight lines mate👍🎣
