Love you're vids, I do find my self binge watching when I get chance, I'm getting on now in my 60's so some of you're rock fishing ventures make jealous rather the inspire me, we always planned a big family, unfortunately the wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 21, we only managed two girls, they are the bees knees don't get me wrong, without sounding wiered , you are the son I always dreamed of 😂, I was airborne forces back in the 80s and done some pretty adventurous stuff, I carried on being adventurous well into my 50s, god i get jealous of you 😂😂, I still get out on me kayak from time to time, skininggrove my favourite spot, tight lines mate, and my very best wishes.
That was another brilliant watch. Love these adventure fishing trips. Me, I like the comfort of my own toilet. If you have to tuck your trousers into your socks to avoid ticks I can’t imagine your bathroom arrangements 😅
Came across you by accident as I normally watch TH-camrs that fish Anglesey where I'm from. Love your content and your dedication and approach to fishing and I've just subscribed. I'm trying to make my way through all the videos you have. I love a bit of lure fishing and to cut down on costs I now buy blanks and airbrush them myself. Many thanks for putting these videos out there as I know it's hard work filming and doing all the editing. Best of luck on your next session and I'm looking forward to it already.
Eyup Nathan. I'm sorry to have been away for a while. It's great to see you back up northward cranking in the fish and having it large so I'm looking forward to your next post already. I'll sithi after! Dave.
You certainly get about Nathan, but on day two, yous certainly hit the jackpot. Both of you into fish at the same time regularly, and what a great stamp of fish. Laughed when that nice Pollock made its escape like down a log flume. Looking forward to the next episode. Well done to you both.
I do try Arthur 😂 For me, the journey always adds to the experience and if the fishing is this consistent then game on! Thanks, as always, and tight lines👍🎣
Brilliant video, what a fantastic place to fish. Fair play, you don't half do some travelling for our pleasure. Some lovely fish caught there, that pollack getting away was funny. Good use of the kayaks to get about. Did that lure nearly take out the drone? 😂
@@SlippyLimpets thank you - it's been tricky with the wind to get on the marks with the kayak - but today was calmer and had a fantastic session over a shallow water wreck. Loads of pollock in the structure. PS You'll hate me but the Bixpy is brilliant 🤣
Good Morning Nathan well what words do i use brilliant or awesome everything about this video , the effort you go to is 100% & more really looking forward to see the next island , take care both of you & tight lines
That was some epic fishing, thats why you make those stupidly long journeys, that sort of session makes that all worth it, superb fishing, enjoyed watching that
When I saw the drone footage it looks so similar to my absolutely favourite isle of man rock mark which is an extinct volcano called the stakk and the best place to fish means climbing to the top and climbing down a face of rock with bits sticking out very dangerous certainly not to be done alone but the fishing is extreme cuz it's deep with a strong current even at slack tide their's an under current but I've had and seen some big fish there, mainly Pollack but one or 2 cod and once a m8 of mine caught 3 black bream on a bar spinner which was very unusual but very 😎 cool. Anyway once again thanks for the great content really appreciated the time and editing you put into your videos, each video is always entertaining even when you don't get the luck you deserve 😊
Sounds right up my street! I keep threatening to visit IOM but it keeps slipping by. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, really appreciate it.👍🎣
Thanks for the info on the fishing weights, it's ironic that I was out for an appointment earlier and I went for a browse at the localish tackle shop (very limited selection) but I found these sea tech float kits and the weights are bullet shape so I'm thinking of getting some inline hooks some more of these bullet weights split them an crimp em on like a split shot tbh I know I won't be the first person to think of it but I also have some roofing lead at my dad's (alot of my gear fishing wise gets stowed up there I'm a bit of a fishing gear hoarder cuz alot can be recycled) anyway I reckon I could cut the leas into a head shape of sorts with a long shank hook or try a few sizes as you know experimental fishing can be alot of fun. Anyway thanks again. I'll let you know how I get on.
Have fished for pollock near loch maddy and a few other remote spots on the western isles. Had a ball at maddy with about 40 fish to 7lb. As always you lose a few in kelp or rocks but when they crash dive its hard to stop a big pollock when fishing 20lb braid on sensible gear.
Stunning areas to fish. Been to the Outer Hebrides a few times, everywhere is fishy. However, the ferry situation at the moment is appalling to risk our holidays
Now that's proper fishing getting away out the road like that well done for jst makeing the effort to get out to these lovely places the fishing looked brilliant aswell nothing to huge but plenty of them big thumbs up lads great stuff 👍 btw made it to eyemouth last week eventually fishing wasn't great had a couple tho bit of a rekie really but really liked the place full of potential back soon,, cheers,
You both nailed it for, location, scenery, and fishing. What a second day's fishing. Nice to have the yaks to get to those out the way marks. Full marks guys (sorry for the pun). Enjoyed the vlog and look forward to see what you get on the 3rd day's fishing. All the best to you both.
Thanks Adz. Must admit I was a little worried about the success of the rest of the trip after the first day, but, like you said, the 2nd day made up for it and only got better! Tight lines Adz🎣👍
Nice one guys, fantastic scenery and fishing, stunning 👍 But where's the trout? 🎣🤣 I've been sick for 13 years after a tick, and only just managed to get back out fishing last year. Doctor's weren't as aware of the dangers in the UK back then and I was pretty much ignored, which is the worst thing you can do, even with a big ring rash. Early treatment is vital. Take care, they really can ruin your life👍
The trout was on my last day, and I'm a stickler for chronological order😂 Same thing happened to my unkle, and it's taken him years to get over it. Glad you managed to shake it off
@@SlippyLimpets haha look forward to it. Im still not right but I can wander around with a fishing rod again, that's huge to me and there are many worse off. Hopefully get driving again soon, your adventures afar are inspiring. Hope your uncle stays well too 👍
nice one, a fishing trip to boost the soul, lol would a boga grip be useful or another weight to carry, just a thought after seeing that slippery 8 pounders fight for freedom, lol
@@SlippyLimpets Be extra careful. Lyme does not always produce a rash...quiet often it does not...and the rash, if it is going to show its face may not appear for up to 3 weeks. Take the possibility of Lyme extra seriously. It can literally ruin your life if you are unlucky enough to contract it. 👍
Another excellent video, just wondering if you know a good site to buy lure/jig heads? I can only seem to find them with a ball shot on an inline hook but I'm after the ones shaped like a fish head as it looks far more natural. It amazes me still to this day that fish will take a lure with a colour that resembles nothing natural in the water, it's probably why they call em crazy eels!!
I know, I normally fish with natural colours but sometimes fish will hit things that look different from anything natural looking. Fish shaped jigs can be expensive but AGM Lure Fishing have some decent ones at a reasonable price. Hope this helps and glad you liked the vid👍🎣
hi, im thinking of getting myself a hi tide rod for lure fishing. I've seen you use it occasionally on this channel. would you recommend this rood for lures/ spinners on the rocks?
Hi Tom, Absolutely. I've got 2, an 83 SSD and a 9 TZ ML. That 8'3" MH rod has landed me a few double figure pollack and a few nice 70+cm bass. It's a very versatile rod. Good value too
Hi Greg, if it's for this type of fishing then I'd recommend a similar setup to what I was using in this vid. Tailwalk Hi-Tide SSD 830 MH and a 2500 sized Daiwa BG reel. Hope this helps
I got a tick a few weeks back. Had them years ago when we shot deer they are dangerous lymes disease is no joke. If you ever get one and think its been on you for more than 24 hours seek medical advise. Under 24 hours just squeeze them off and dont worry about it. I hate them makes my skin crawl 😒
