The heel slippage and stiff upper on the invincible is what's holding it back for me from being a 10/10 daily. I agree however it can feel unstable or wobbly due to the cushion height, but I can see it benefiting in the long run once broken into. ZoomX is the softest most comfortable cushion but at the cost of durability. They bottom out quick. With the extra stack height on these, the foam should break in nicely and last a bit longer.
I dont own any sneakers with zoomX but i had 5 6 pairs of ultra boosts, some for running and others just for casual use. I couldnt believe how fast they bottom out. 1 2 months and the comfort is gone. Thats why im considering trying these invincibles.
Have them both, and this is my thoughts. The Ultraboost OG is much more functional than these 2. The light boost is way more stable than Invincible run. the Invincible run is crazy soft compare to light boost. But this is the shoe that I don't recommend running downhill. Invincible run is not stable AT ALL. It felt like I can roll my ankle for standing for more than 10 seconds. That chances of you getting injured is higher with Invincible run. The Light boost is more like a performance shoe. I don't recommend it for casual or lifestyle shoe. It felt like stepping on the concrete compare to the Invincible Run. Both are great shoes. But I will pick the Invincible run all day. It's crazy soft and it'll definitely take you further when you run. But Men, Nike has to do something with the stability of this shoe. This is the 3rd version but the stability still sucks.
@@jeffreyhall8195 Definitely not the shoe for Osteoarthritis. The Invincibles give me exactly the symptoms of Osteoarthritis(joint pain). I would only recommend it for someone who needs running shoes with arch support and is a midfoot striker or heel striker. If you really want a max-cushioning shoe, I would recommend you to first find the right drop for your foot issues(I wear zero drop on firm sole shoes but I prefer 6 to 8 mm drop on max cushion shoes. 10 mm drop on any shoe gives me backpain and zero drop on max cushion shoe gives me ankle issues). After finding the right drop, come back and watch Hes Kicks videos to find the most comfortable shoes then check the drop on those shoes and never choose a shoe that Hes Kicks rate the stability lower than 8(he's too generous with stability and you'll need to reduce his stability rating by -3 to find the real stability of many of those max cushion shoes). Goodluck!
02:05 you want a stiffer spring when running. That's why carbon plate runners are not flexible at all when you try to bend them with your hands. The weight of your body produces much more force than you can with your hands so it needs to be stiff to propel you forward.
I really appreciate the walking comparison. I have a fake knee and have been considering these 2 or the Endorphin Speed 2's. The Invicible run's just don't appear to have a good heal to toe transition from your walking they do appear very unstable and wobbly as you stated. These are a no go for me. Thank you!
Invincible upper is terrible 😢 and heel slippage takes the love out of the midsole. 😂😂 ... Ultraboost is a perfectionist and you can't beat the uppers Adidas makes. ❤ Midsoles are balanced and feel consistent to the nature of shoes Adidas makes
@@andyrao7700 It’s funny that you pointed this out, I was saying the same thing the other day to a coworker. “I said I would love to combine the Invincible Run Midsole with an UltraBOOST upper”
Problem with the UBs is that they're too tight across the instep for people like me. I have 1 pair of UB20s and they are good but I've had UB4.0s, 19s, 20s and I couldn't even get the 21s and 22s on my feet.
Invincibles are the comfiest shoes I’ve ever owned. I’ve had several Ultraboosts and they don’t come close. Agree on the comments about slippage though.
After about 7:25 it seems you are comparing the Ultra Boost light to the Invincible run 3, but you refer to the Adidas shoe as the Ultra Boost 22 several times (7:37, 7:49, 7:59, 8:35). Looking at the shoe in your hand, B role footage, and how you are otherwise talking was the Ultra Boost 22 reference a mix up?
Went for a run in the invincible run 3’s and they are really just for running that’s when they feel more stable. And they are really good for preventing plantar fascia strain in my flat feet. Running down a medium slop was an absolute blast for me and I enjoyed heel striking in them 😊. What I would say though is when lacing up, you only want slight tension around your foot and not too snug because there is not much flexibility in the upper
I already had to return a pair of invincibles since I got a hole in the toe area after 1 month. Got another pair but they aren't as great as the 1 or 2. As a wide footer, I haven't been able to fit into an UB since the 20s. (size 13) If you're a wide footer, you're better off buying Invinscible 2s at half off then paying 180 for a new pair of 3s unless you have the Nike hook up (40% off)
The ultraboost light is much firmer and a lot less cushy and comfy compared to older ultraboost sneakers i had. I'd give them a 6/10 rating. The NB 1080v13 and asics nimbus 26 are both much softer and comfy imo.
Maybe a minor point, but I find that the UB 22's & UBL's Continental outsole rubber is much quieter when walking vs. the IR 3, at least on my tile floor. As someone who's a bit sensitive to rubber noises (misophonia), I appreciate the near silence of the UB models and cringe a bit when walking with the IR 3. That being said, Adidas' 4DFWD 2 Continental outsole is easily the most silent I've ever had... impressively stealthy.
I own a pair of Nike Reacts and personally felt that it's too wobbly, to a point where I damaged my ankle by twisting them while running over an uneven surface. I believe it's the same feeling with Invincible.
Never owned the Adidas but due to heel surgery, I have been in the Invincible 2 and 3 for over 3 years now. The 3 was an upgrade in a few ways for me, Deeper, better lateral stability and softness feel in the heel. The 3 upper material was a miss for me though just like he said. I would love to see that heel softness combined with lateral stability next (if that is possible for us high arched folks) . Perhaps I will give the Adidas a try as well. Thanks for the review (it's 1 year old now lol)

I'm overweight, muscular. 245 lb. invincible run 3 are amazing, however those will not work for a regular run if you have a similar or higher weight, those are so unstable for my weight that I can't even do warming without rolling my ankles. However I do HIIT and sprints at top speed and that marshmellow feeling and protection to my bones has no comparison so I will use them for those sprints at all speed, only for runs in a straight line and in a very flat floor. I have the jazz dst in black w reflective accents and holy shit they are so nice imo
Which shoe can you wear the longest? Ultraboost makes me feel like falling forward all the time
You forgot about the adidas 4D 🤦🏻♂️
Hes please do a review of the Saucony Triumph 20s!! The foam itself looks a lot like light boost. I’m really curious to see how they feel vs the ultraboost light and invincible run
Its ok, I have one in asphalt grey color. A bit firm, responsive
You should review the New Balance 880 v13
Nice video
Adidas should stop experimenting and just copy Saucony's PWRRUN+ or PWRRUN PB midsole formula and call it a day. Both uses the same material anyway, well at least they both uses pellets. Saucony's bouncier and lighter than any adidas boost equipped shoes
Can you please review Puma Shibui Cat slides
Adidas is the winner but Nike always make better looking shoes so thats why they are winning
