Awesome analysis Leon. I saw this film for the first time a couple of days ago and I think that it might be one of my favourite films to come out this decade. It is an incredibly well developed thriller film with incredible amounts of suspense and drama. I love how it doesn't force you to pick a side, it just allows you to reach your own logical conclusion. Your analysis helped me to like it just a little bit more.

I really loved this movie. I was in terror of what Keller would do next, and whether Loki could solve the puzzle. And all the supporting cast was stellar too.
Leon, I would like to increase my Patreon sponsorship of your show in the near future and I have a question. How long should I keep my support at the $30 level in order to "earn" the chosen review? I want to make sure I have the funds arranged to pay you appropriately for your hard work.
Also, I need to decide what I want to ask you to talk about... that's the toughest part.

I always wondered about Loki’s Freemason ring and ‘Alex Jones’

You really have great insights in the storytelling of great films. Your view is really helpful.
I am following Villeneuve since Incendies which I saw at IFFR (Filmfestival Rotterdam, The Netherlands).
I'd also like to hear your insight on that film.
I was disappointed (meaning in my own judgment) when I say this analysis. When I watched Prisoners I really liked the ending. My interpretation on the ending was assuming that the director ends the film with a dilemma for the viewer. Forcing me to make my own decision on life or death. Seeing your analysis I have no valid argument to defend that view. It was a little dent in my confidence trusting in my own judgement on symbolism and interpretation.
Thank you and keep it up.

I think this is an accurate vid but you are being a little critical of Keller. Clearly it was KILLING him to have to hurt Alex to get information. It was NOT a decision he arrived at lightly. This is why the director only shows us the private interactions with Alex to the audience and Keller (nobody else hears Alex say "They cried when I left them" or hears him singing the Jingle Bells Batman smells song, or choking the dog, or telling him about the girls in the maze). Keller didn't want to hurt anyone, but if my little girl was taken I would burn a city to the ground before doing nothing.

Andrew Klang a bullet is a fraction of harm? he would have died instantly. the lady obviously had good aim to shoot his leg, so why not a headshot too, he had no control over the situation. also she told him the "jug", implying following her demands would lead to his daughter, he did what he thought had to be done.

Just saying with hugh jackman or Jake Gyllenhaal this movie would be nowhere as good as it os
