    1. INTP's can be insensitive.
    2. INTP's sometimes can't help, but feel dissatisfied.
    3. INTP's can appear disconnected from the world.
    4. INTP's can appear impatient in conversations.
    5. INTP's are perfectionistic.

Please don’t assume all INTP’s want to “fit in” (hugs, etc… I just don’t care). In the U.S. we are pretty much seen - and treated - as mutants. Well, at least I am. By the way, I have a great life with my dog, my ideas, my thoughts, my imagination and the wonderful conversations I have with myself. I see these characteristics as strengths, not weaknesses.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write this comment.
What I was trying to say more about the ‘hugs’ thing was that we don’t like doing and find it totally awkward (we also shouldn’t feel we have to) but if it’s someone we deeply care about that’s close to us, we can learn to give this emotional support if we want too. but I agree that I find it hard to care to give emotional support at all...
And I think your life sounds perfect, you, your dog and time alone with your thoughts... bliss.

Hey, I am the same. I have my cats and I don't bother about anything else as I have them, my thoughts, my interests, my hobbies and can do whatever and whenever i want to do. I can't understand why some people think it's wrong to want to be alone..

Certainly no me! As an INTP myself, all I cared about is having those one, or two friends where I can share all my ideas, intellectual concepts abs share my interests with. I am very happy spending hours on end being alone.

This was extremely relatable. I’ve literally stopped myself in the middle of proposing logical solutions to someone’s problems to ask them if they want solutions or if they just want moral support. Hugs are right out. I’ll do it if it is necessary socially, but I’m usually looking for ways to avoid it because it’s awkward as heck. All other points are also applicable.

This is an authentic channel which I am comfortable listen to.
There are way too many MBTI channels with a human talking that I can't stand.
    Keep going!

Hahaha! People who ride with me hate that it's always silent in my car.

I always have my radio off too...only problem is... I have custom...louder exhaust... so when others DO ride with me, they turn up the radio even higher😒.

I turn the radio off usually on my 45-minute commute back home in the evening from work. I move over to the far right lane and take my time getting home because of all the talking to I’m going to get when I get there. If I’m not quite ready, I’ll swing by Goodwill and peruse all the interesting items. If I do manage to buy something, it is never more than $10.

Turning the radio off while driving? No way. It's more like listening to it to find the pattern of the song or the inconsistence of the speech or the missing piece of information and then switching off my ears to solve the puzzle.

I don't drive but when my roommate isn't in the house I will turn of everything, no videos, no audiobooks, no music and think in the quiet. Sometimes I'll read during those times but only for a short period of time and then think about what I just read about. I prefer non fiction over novels for reading.

I know well the last point...I've been writing on a blog regularly and found that it's helpful already for me, I get a routine of writing something and then just sending it out, boom, it's done, instead of allowing myself to endlessly polish and adjust the texts because there obviously wouldn't be an end to it (except possibly in deciding that it's all rubbish and scrapping it).
And on the first point...I think INTPs can be really good at amateur counselling: one listens and observes, can look at the issues from several different viewpoints and even offer some suggestions of possible courses of actions or things to pay attention to, without really pushing their own opinions that "this is what you should do". But yeah, emotional support is not really a forte. I can deal well with confused or perplexed people wanting to talk it out, but with sad people...no.

Thanks for taking the time to write this comment! amazing points, I also had a blog and it’s definitely helpfully to just press publish.
I also can get stuck analysing my work to try and make sure it’s perfect, but I’m learning to just get it done. doing something 70% is better than 0%! I struggled with blogging though as my English skills are poor to say the least...
I definitely take on board your points on amateur counselling, I think we can come in really helping to give advise when it’s used in conjunction with advise off a feeler... for example if the person has already received the emotional advice from somebody else and then we follow up with some logical advise and steps that somebody could take to move forward... plus we don’t judge people so you know we’re always giving unbiased advise.
Once again thanks for the comment!

0:41 This is why when we get overwhelmed (Fi Demon), and it's our turn to need a shoulder to cry on (looking for INFP, Fi Hero), we won't be getting any, either.

Perfectionism: it's a lost cause. Nothing EVER gets perfect. It used to bother me a lot when I was young, but instead of fighting it I learnt the most useful tool to deal with it: patience. And integrating certain level of error in the acceptable outcome of things.

As an INTP I also struggle with too much curiosity. It is hard to decide on one final path of career and succeed on that. After getting enough of smth I lose interest and feel need to find smth else instead of continuing with what I already know.

I totally relate to this! I’m an electrician by trade and I’ve been doing it for around 8 years now, it was great for the first 4 years as I was learning new things all the time but now it feels like I know it and it’s so boring!
Maybe we’re never going to be happy with just one path... just keep on learning and discovering new things! thanks for your comment.

Actually this curiosity and flexibility will serve you well in the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world in which we now live. INTPs are well suited to be resilient in this dynamic.

I know that there has always been a lot of tension between my 2nd oldest brother (ISTP) and myself (the INTP baby sister) due to the fact that he has seen me frequently insensitive.
