Looks like an awesome upgrade to the Manix 2. The finished weight is only 4.5oz. The stock version is listed at 4.2oz. Most aftermarket scales are much heavier.. Thanks for the video.
Pretty awesome driver for knives. I put copper scales on my manix 2 that still has liners, it is as heavy as some of my fixed blade knives in D2 that are between 5 and 9 inches long. I really like this idea with no liners, might have to look into new scales for it.
Hey, thank you so much and I appreciate you watching. I’m glad they are helpful and hope you come back for other content and maybe pop in on a livestream on Monday nights! 🤜💥🤛✌️🫶🤙🫡
Omg, you are sooo shaky , I think it might me because you see simply exited , nice built though, would love to see some tritium based upgrades . I have manix 2 but I am shaky beyond :) to open it and upgrade it , is it true you loose warranty once opened ??
Just curious, what was the point of taking the old scales apart? Couldn’t you have just left them alone since you didn’t need the liners or anything else? I’m thinking of getting the AWT which is similar.
Rob, I've found that sometimes if the washers get swapped to the other sides by accident it will cause the blade to be a smidgen off...as they usually are not perfectly equal sizes...sometimes 😉
That is one of my tricks to fix an off centered knife. You can also disassemble & reassemble a knife as how it fits back together can be off at 1 or 2 contact points. If a scale is flexed a tiny bit, it can also impact how it fits together.
That was my case. For hour i was inspecting whats the problem and after reading your comment i switched them and all looks and works just perfect. Thx man
I use Hoppe's Gun Oil for the action on my knives. That way I don't have to buy trendy lube for a knife, I can use a oil already on hand. It works great, and is a lot cheaper.
KPL AND NANO oil are a waste of money. All you need it something slick and the slickest oil that sticks to metal is Sons of Liberty gun works Spec76 lube. Super thin and is amazing on knives.
If you are happy with it, then you know what you will use. I have used Nano-Oil for years on my knives and in certain things. Ive compared to various things, and I come back to Nono-Oil as my favorite.
Hey, thank you. It is who I am and what I do as a nerd who loves knives. It may not be for everyone, which is fine. There are a lot of good channels out there that you may prefer more. Thank you for watching, though. 👍✌️😉🤓

It does feel incredibly lite, and I figured this would be good. I did see some videos with Ti scales on the liners 5.5 or more oz. 👍

They are really nice and I keep wanting to carry up there with the McNees, Whippersnapper, Chavez, and Relative. LOL.
I’m planning on doing this exact mod in the next few weeks. This video will save me a lot of struggle bussin’. Thank you for these great videos

What do you mean shaky?
@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives exited ,a bit nervous and a bit unsteady - shaky - but in a good way , you can tell you care , maybe even more.than usually

That is exactly how I packed them up in my box. 🤔😂👍

There you go. You have an oil your happy with. Believe me, Nano-Oil is not trendy but likely a bit nerdy. Ha-ha. They’ve been around a while.
What is the weight?
It is 4.12 oz. as you can see in my formal review here: th-cam.com/video/f3UEOb7zpi8/w-d-xo.html

Loosen the two back screws and the action will be great. At least it should.
The action is insane and I have it in a good place. It’s a favorite carry for sure.
Nice
