This is great! Love the tips!
That elephant is incredible
the swatching card is a great idea!!
Really enjoy watching you work. Thank you for the tip on gouache. 😊
Hello Jason. I love watching your videos. What is the magnetic board you are using?
Do you mean a watercolor wash for spots? What a great idea! Imade the mistake of putting the spots in first with pan pastels.
I believe he said he used gouache.

I love your art so much. You are amazing. I was wondering if you think the white pan pastel leans to a vanilla white instead of pure white? What do you use it you want pure white?
pans are not completely opaque so if you use a paper that is not pure white then it will influence it to some degree. I use pastel sticks on top if I want pure white
Hi Jason !I love your work ,you are a fantastic artist…I’m an amateur painter and I’ve paint a big jaquar with acrylics..I want your opinion for my paint..can I send you a photo?
sorry but I dont get enough spare time to do critiques.
Hi Jason, thank you very much for those tips, about the black gouche!, I did it in a project that I haven't finished yet. But I wanted to ask you, why do those sponges, especially the knives, when rubbed on the pastelmat, they're break? I am always careful not to rub the surface too hard, but they still breaking. A tip to take care of the sponges?
they will always wear out on pastelmat paper - on sanded types of paper they will rip instantly.
Just need to be careful and use the finger type sponges they sell instead, they last MUCH longer.
