- After 4 months of working through this (and tons of rushing to get this uploaded on the 13th), I've finished remastering the soundtrack of Super Mario 64 in time for Mario's 35th Anniversary!

@Christian Edwards The original Mario All-Stars was a remaster, though. If they weren't going to remaster their collection of old games, they shouldn't have named it something that calls back to Super Mario All-Stars, a remastered collection of old Mario games on the SNES.
I'm honestly fine with a collection of old games, but I felt a little misled after I found that it's emulation rather than a remastered collection of games, as the name implies.
I know. And Super Mario 64 on the switch is clunky and buggy as all hell. But it is what it is, and probably the only time we'll ever see it on the switch - and even more disappointing - this collection is no longer being produced - you could get copies on amazon, but the price is probably going to soar the rarer this collection gets.
@@somebodyelse9130 They should have called it the Super Mario 3D Collector's Edition, which would double as a reference to their Limited Release Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition.

Very high quality music. The original samples had this certain vibe to them, but you were able to capture it kind of well even with higher quality instruments.
These are SO amazing, I could just listen to these forever, especially Cool Cool Mountain! 💙 I think you should turn them into individual videos too!

43:51 - (Lethal Lava Land/Shifting Sand Land) This track really remembers for an old ancient egypt market or temple. Wonderful work!!! It would fit perfectly as background music for movies.

This is the best remaster i've ever heard, but for real this is so GOOD!
You've done a good job sticking to the source but done a little bit of changes which i love. I especially love your "The Ultimate Showdown" it really gives credit to how important the final battle is. It sounds so powerful, i could listen to this soundtrack over and over again.
But like holy hell dude, you have EXTREME TALENT!

The bells on Dire Dire Docks were a great touch.
You made me realise after so, so long that the game over theme is just a part of bob-omb battlefield's but distorded...
But... it's more the title theme distorted.
Also, Bomb-omb Battlefield's theme is just a creative take on the main theme of the Mario Bro's series. Which, as you would have it, is used by the title of SM64.
Apparently the slider theme is also bomb omb battlefield sped up but I don't hear it

Jokes aside, this is very underrated.
The remastered version is amazing! You used the modern Mario instruments/sounds to remake these songs! My favorite is File Select, it was always a nice tune to chill to. Edit: Just realized I could ask for it to be made as a separate video, I would love it, but you don't have to.

This is so good but at the same time it lies right on the uncanny valley. So close to the original but it always feels off in a way, though not necessarily a bad way. It's the same feeling as walking into a room and finding everything moved exactly 1 inch to the left
