Funnily enough there's a chance it was originally meant for Ocarina of Time and the chicken catching minigame - you can hear the similarities between them and they were in development at around the same time.
That's probably because the instruments include violin, whistling, banjo, piano, bass (the standing string one), and simple drums (hi hat and a single cymbal).

because your riding a slow mine cart instead of flying down a giant slide at a million miles per hour, it wouldnt make much sense if the music was fast and the gameplay was slow. I actually think the slower pace is really nice for the slide music and GoGo trolley is my favorite remix

I love how Rainbow Cruise is a combination of both the slider from sm64 and the underwater theme from smb1. It really makes the track stand out. Each one of them is awesome though. Thanks for the upload!

I think the biggest issue with it is tempo. It is by far the slowest version of the theme but I think the instrumentation is still pretty good
