    Would KILL for that kind of gold round here! Every piece is chunky ! Absolutely a pleasure to watch and if I were around, you KNOW i would be putting in some support beams and Digging all that virgin placer material OUT !!! Talk about a gold mine! If the gold you found is any indication , i think you could spend a few months just shoveling out all the material in the mine, and have a BLAST doing it! Someday maybe i will head to Australia... just buy a trailer and roam the outback finding all the gold i can... In fact, maybe i'll save some money and do it sooner than later!

    Love that place. I could spend months in that little place alone. I can't do very much in a day so it takes me longer to do it. I would dig in that mine a bit then down to see if there's anything inside it either from it being a catch point in the stream or anything that has washed out of it. Remember the old timers weren't after small bits and were only chasing very profitable veins so they wouldn't have processed where the small stuff is. Well pickers and small noogs to us who do process it for that stuff. Hope you do that for a future video. They probably missed a few good size noogs also.👍❤💛💚👊

Thing is the other thing is weather or not there are protected fish areas. Prospecting is limited to panning and sluicing. Cant be hi banking in many places. Cool heaps of gold there see that clay it’s like wattle flat there’s gold on top of that white pipers clay the same clay they used for the wattle and Dab houses and all they brown clay catches it so there will be gold in the clay and specimens in black iron stone gold in Rosie Quartz and the white courts so look for nails iron wire led glass and black iron stone scape the first 2 inches of any clay no matter what colour and look for black magnetic 🧲 sand and stuff all of that in your pan with no sives and use red thick bunings gluv s and wash around and around in them big black plastic pans with is 10 lt of dirt under water until all ya clay balls are disolved then get the pan down to about half a cup of dirt then just quickly check it to see how much gold in there then tip all that dirt into a anther black plastic gold pan and then go do anther one until you have full up one pan or have tiped 5 hours of panining in to one pan then 40 minutes before sun gos down pan that pan into anther pan 3 or 4 times to take out all the gold and you can get more gold then using a Banksluce or cradle rocker in 4 to 5 hours

    That's some nice colour Glenno, well done. That creek is the large version of my little creek, mine has the diggings on the side, no stulls like that though, very interesting. Are you allowed to use a river sluice and an electric pump for water flow?
    Cheers, Pete

    Glen, I don’t think those mines were full height I think they were only a 1-2 feet high being that close to the creek

    • @getdownanddirtyprospecting
      @getdownanddirtyprospecting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That creek was also hydraulic sluiced not the best as not a great deal of water and with 170 years of flooding the walls of the creek were maybe 2 meters further and the mine was in the 1850s the sluiceing much latter and I’m sure the bedrock is about 1.5 meters deeper than the top blocks holding the roof
