I saw the video from 3 years ago and went back to see if they filmed another video and this one was 2 years later. It’s insane that they haven’t cleaned out that whole pipe by now. Like you said I’d be back there the next day with a full set up to clean that whole area out. In front and behind it as well.
Since I'm old and disabled, I'll never have a chance to prospect.., but! I've found that we do have a connection --- brothers in a sense! As you wash away the black sand from the corner of your pan, I'm reminded that I do the same --- several times a day! That is exactly how I get the last of my coffee... separating the good stuff from the grounds! 😁☕☕☕☕🥴
Where I lived in California all you have do to find gold is locate the largest patch of poison oak infested Blackberrys and get to work! Seriously though I'll never forget the look on my 5 year olds face when he said "there's one" and picked a nugget out of my pan. You can't get those moments back. Wait his daughter just turned 3!
In that first pan, when you showed the gold, there were several pieces stuck in the very outer edge of the pan, aka you def lost some in the river. You should pan over a large container so you don't loose anything!! Great spot btw!
That's what happens when you use a "newfangled" pan that overpromises and underdelivers... I don't know what's wrong with using a normal pan... Lord knows its easier and way better at keeping all gold in the pan...
@@Fellixify kinda makes sense what you’re saying actually. Watched a ton of these vids and shows and leaving the area for another time makes absolutely no sense to me. Unless it’s fake.
So sleep on rocks in a creek bed and pan all day everyday to find some gold. You have to understand as an exploration company our job is to find deposits and sell or option them to larger companies with better funding so they can be developed. While finding placer gold is fun it doesn't give a huge payout like finding the source does. Most companies we deal with want large mineral deposits that have potential to be mined for years not a creek with good gold. While it's good gold and well be back placer gold isn't the end game. PS we have posted 3 videos already scince this one on the same creek.
Man you guys are so blessed to have areas like that to go prospect in..... I'm out in the desert in El Paso Texas and I head out to nm sometimes....I finally found some exposed bedrock that wasn't mined by the old timers and took a few samples but no gold like that..... yet lol....I always watch your videos and you guys always find good gold.....knowledge is power and you make that obvious

I watched your other video in this culvert about 2 weeks ago, and I had always wondered if the ribs of the culvert would trap gold, but I had never heard of anyone checking it out. Now, I wonder what the BC laws are on cleaning out the culvert, when it's dry, with a vac truck. The vac truck wouldn't even have to be one of the big ones we use here in Alberta, in the patch, just a little single axel 3-ton type, but you could suck up everything that fits through a 4" hose then take it home and run it through a sluice. That would of course work even better if the truck had a small wash unit on it as well...
That's amazing! I wonder where the source is. As chunky looking as that gold is, it couldn't be much further upstream. That culvert's a perfect location for using a wet classifier like the goldslinger. You bring your water with you and you classify it down to your desired size as it washes off all of the rocks of any specs of gold. You can go through that whole culvert.
Wow! Awesome gold in there. I wouldn’t stop until that culvert was clean. Of course that’s a lot of work but… I just couldn’t imagine leaving any behind.
My relatives come out and visit and always want to go out with me since I live in the high desert (western Mohave) where there’s lots of gold… and when I visited them last time in Ohio I showed them they had gold too… granted I had to get the geological maps to map out the glacial shield moraines to focus where I would take them to look since I had limited time… but they were tripping out when they found out they had some rather decent gold locally. Naturally it’s not the quantity we can get out here but nonetheless it peaked their interest and now they’re looking at some small high-banker and small dredges :)
How about a video where you go back to this location and run all the material? Or have you already. Interested to see if you’ve found the source yet as well. I need some more placer content. As well as results from your prospecting and testing.

man I would love to find an old drainage pipe used to divert streams coming off a mountain lol awesome guys I love it i never even thought about that. the ridges in the pipe acting as riffles in a gold pan. or a natural sluice
You are tapping a primary concentrator in that culvert. Of course you get lots of black sand and the ribbed texture of the culvert is essentially a sluice box. Waiting for rain is a two edged sword as the accessibility of water is handy, but the downside is that water facilitates the escape of gold. Personally, I would be identifying the location of every large culvert in that area and campaigning it, but that is just me.
It's called the Best Dammed Gold Pan. We have the company's link in the description if you want to order or check out videos on it its a really efficient pan and nice pan for fine gold. We use it on almost every project cause it's compact, doesn't waist time and literally loses no gold We have a video a few years back we lab tested the tailings of a conventional pan vs this one videos on their site or if you scroll back a couple years you can find it.
It only takes a small amount of water to clean a whole lot of dirt. Bring the water to the culvert, fill 4, 1 gallon jugs, use a 5 gallon bucket, and a few metal or plastic kitchen strainers. Last but not least, a magnet to remove the black sands. You end up with highly concentrated material in the bottom of a bucket full of water
Nice to see the gold...not just the mineralizations on logging roads. I understand the need for the technical stuff but it gets a bit stuffy/boring after a while.😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Did you look at the entrance and exit to that culvert? The area right before and just at end of the culvert because that drop area might have some gold just at and under the edge of culvert lips!??

Take a garden rake to that culvert when there is trickle flowing. You can quickly classify out all the bigger rocks and the light sand at the same time. Be interesting to know how long the culvert has been in place? Could you estimate the rate of gold movement downstream?

I'm assuming that the big stuff in the culvert (large rocks) is helpful in slowing the gold down causing it to drop because the culvert rifles are too full to do any good now. Is that correct?
