I'm glad to have found this video. Took delivery of Model Y with a spot that looks similar to the video where someone incorrectly sanded. It's not noticeable and only in low light conditions at specific angles. Tesla wants to repaint the whole fender and blend it with the hood and door. Sounds excessive for something that can be corrected. Can I send photos to you to get your professional opinion?
Do how do you keep the paint looking that great. Will ceramic coating keep black paint looking great, with no swirl marks? I love black, but keeping it looking good has been a challenge.
Hi Pat, Ceramic coating does a great job at retaining gloss and making washing much easier. But it does not protect from swirl marks, for that I would suggest paint protection film as it self heals light swirls.
Great vid, showing an enthusiast, yet amateur how it’s been done and can still be done well was really fun to watch.
What kind of compound and polisher do you use?
Incredible improvement, Joe! A new shop? I want to hear about this!
Great video. Thanks for showing thos level of detail. How long will this correction last before needing to be redone?
Alex, did you edit this video? The picture-in-picture in the beginning is awesome.

There's no way a dealer gave the car to customer like that and the owner can't be that stupid to except car in that condition
Tesla black paint on the 3/Y is just terrible.
